40/20 kicks

[Matabele]

Early in the season we pulled off several of these kicks and scored points off them. From memory there were 3 against the Warriors? Maybe one against the Sharks?

I don't think there's been one since, and in recent weeks we haven't even looked like getting close.

Let's hope this potent attacking weapon gets some practice this week. We can be sure that a certain A Johns will be doing likewise in Newcastle.

Against the Warriors Williamson and Witt kicked successful 40/20's. Monaghan came close to kicking one but it landed just out of touch.

There was on in the East game as well at the SFS from memory. This led to Steppas try in the corner.

from memory Monas attempted 1 on Sunday, was in the 1st half.

he kicked early (4th) but it just fell short!!! Well at least it looked that way from my position.

I remember Monaghan kicking a massive one at Brookie. Not sure who it was against, but he kicked it from our 30 towards the scoreboard end and it went out on the 10 metre line.

Absolute ripper and it got us right out of trouble, anyone remember it?

In all seriousness, the rule should be stretched to 50/10 aswell. Why should a team be punished for making more metres?
