3 turnarounds to recruit

I always love it when Manly buys a high-potential player who flops at other clubs, for a bargain price, and turns around their career.

Three I would consider (provided their wage is not much more than minimum salary and they are on one-year deals) are:

- Pauli Pauli
- Jamal Idris
- T Rex

I know what you're thinking: no, no, no... but if we got all three for 300k and one stars as an impact player, it's a fair deal. Coming off long-term injuires, they should be cheap.

I'd rather watch the above three than Brown/ Wright / Kelly / Green and, lately, Lawrence.

Each of the above should be a star. T-Rex played his best footy (only) at Manly.

We've shown we can turn around failing players (eg Uate). Let's do it again.

It is possible to have too many lumbering giants in your squad ... and even one of those three would be too many!
I agree with getting high potential players at bargain rates, just not those ones.

edit: because I don't consider them high potential!!

Many players lose their way when they leave Manly for the big bucks!! T Rex is one of them! Players like Ronnie Gibbs, Foran, Shearer just to name a few. At 29 yrs of age I'd take a gamble & have him back at a reasonable price. I think being back where he played his best football would revitalize him! I'd also do everything possible to get Buhrer back!!
Taupau
Api
Lussick
Sironen
Lane
Jake T

RES: Buhrer, T Rex, AFB, Perrett
Waiting in the wings: Tanginoa, Sipley, Paseka...........

Pauli Pauli was good on the U20's cos he was twice the size of everyone else, another pea heart.
Idris is a shocking waste of Talent and I don't think he has a hard work ethic and wouldn't want that to rub off on anyone else.
T-Rex is a maybe aslong as supercheap and prepared to earn his spot from NSW Cup like he did with the Sharks, Honestly he should go to SL

Trex makes zero sense - he was a millstone around Manlys and the Dogs necks.😡

Waste of talent due to a lazy work ethic.😎

Was so relieved when he finally left Manly!

Idris, dumb and depressed with a wrecked body to boot :fubar:

Pauli Pauli has no aggro nor talent to offload whilst breaking through the line 😎

Manly need go getters, who can rally their team mates when needed.

I have watched more Dogs games than Manly this year and unfortunately neither can catch, they are slow, and often injured.

Come to think of it they'd fit right in.
Over 100m ,I'd back Brett Morris to beat anyone we have, even Uate, but in saying that, they're on massive money now, and will expect big money even after, if they were offloaded by the Dogs.

He is the better of the pair, poor Josh looks like he is gone.

They are on $700k each for 2018 at the Dogs. Not worth that combined.

Kerrod Holland is the only Dogs player that would be great.

Goal kicker and a good defender on the edges
No thanks, he is a lightweight who would be of no use starting sets, let alone coming off his own line. This is why he can't even cement a spot with the Dogs. Montoya on the other hand has potential.

We'd be going backwards if we bought either, throw everything at Cotric, apparently he's a far better centre or fullback than winger, and Canberra may have trouble fitting him in , although I doubt they would let him slip through their fingers

Bahaha, this is the funniest post I've ever seen. For a moment there I thought you said Jamal Idris and Dave Taylor.
