Seems we have blokes signed longer who might not be as talented. Bit of a Weekes feeling to this kid.
I can’t see that. 26 years old next season & clearly no other team was offering him a starting spot or he’d have left. Hopefully he proves me wrong & is a late bloomer like Shibasaki

While I agree with everyone in regards to Garrack. There’s has to be a price.
During his last contract it was stated he would only stay if he played centre.
I’m sorry. He’s not a centre plus that up with the fact he wants more money. Over the $500000 range.
Id rather give his spot to a young and upcoming player. Especially not we don’t need his goal kicking.

I like Clayton I do, great depth option but I'm not sure he becomes a regular NRL starter....or a least one of considerable impact.
In comparing him to Weekes. Kaeo is 23 with 54 first grade games and Clayton is 25 with 12.

Garrick is a great clubman and a very good footballer. But he is the most expendable player in our backline with what we have coming through in my opinion. I would persist with Saab who is on a much smaller contract. I would be happy to keep Rueben as well.
I don't mind Schoupp as a depth player but realistically we offered him a year because he did his knee playing for us in the last round and it would be kind of weak to cast him adrift like that!

Hopefully the Schoupp announcement is one of several in a string that starts confirming our squad for next year. Seems to be a lot of question marks at the moment

We are always told by players that it’s a business and there’s no loyalty anymore.
Now Manly are a charity case and a retirement village.
Worst run club in the game but at least we are happy to help busted and over the hill players.
Unfortunately there’s no trophy for that!

We also need good value for money to fill out our top 30. Unfortunate as that injury was for his prospects elsewhere, it probably meant we could re-sign him for a song.
