Lmao, the exaggeration from the doomsdayers on here never gets old. We literally just signed a 22 year old prop that has 100x more chance of becoming a future star… Less than 12 months ago we signed Walsh who was the U 18’s captain for Australia in Union + the Large brothers who were the 2 hottest prospects across either code literally choosing between 10+ NRL clubs & a stack of Union teams as well.

Here’s a dose of reality for you, the guy is 25 & hasn’t played a single game of first grade. The chances of him becoming a ‘future star’ aren’t 0 but are highly unlikely. He’ll go to whoever says they’ll give him a crack at the t?op 30 wether that’s first last or anywhere in between on the ladder.

And if he gets a choice between us and anyone else why would you suggest he come to MWSE?

He's 25 so he can't **** this up.

Yeah I agree. That's why someone like Garner would of been good. Can cover in the centres and burbo could come off the bench. I think this is the sort of profile we need looking at.

I think we have tried to sign garner a couple of times however he elected to stay at the riff and collect premiership rings. Who would blame him 🤷‍♂️. I have mentioned before that Mule senior offered Zac to us before he signed with the raiders however we were too slow off the mark 🫣

Garner is ok but by next year Burbo will be the better player (but as a forward, need someone else as backs cover)

Yep, Garner would have been good had we of signed him when he left the tigers, but yes we need an edge that can shift out. With the speed of the game, mobile edges are paramount, especially one with lateral movement who can provide backline cover, like Simi, Preston, Lucas, Lecka, Burns, we need to find emerging talent, shift away from the recycling approach.
