Did a lot of work with the Roosters pathways as GM of football. I think he's done a good job in that role. A positive step for the future

I didn't expect this news to be in here, so I posted the full DT article in the Club News thread.

The only red flag for me is that he went from General Manager of the Roosters, to a part-time aide here... I might peruse the Roosters forums to see if there was anything else going on.

I imagine, as the Roosters GM for five years, he would be actively involved in their somehow legal third-party deals. Let's hope he can bring that experience here, because that's a massive area where we are lacking, compared to the top teams.

I wonder if Penn is willing to invest more into the football department, because this signing seems like an indication of it.

David O’Donnell appears to be or is gone, hardly surprising after last years issues I guess?

Not sure where that leaves Tooves as he had a big role in Pathways as well?

The full focus on local development (after Blacktown) as well maybe over as it hasn’t really unearthed any special and junior teams have struggled?

All questions which have no answers 😃 but hopefully will lead to better quality across all grades

I'd much prefer us to sign him after not being in the conversation than I would to see us linked to him and then miss out. Mind you, I know sweet FA about him, but if he's young and strong and plays in the front row, we should obviously be taking a look.

I watched him live last year he’s a machine. There’s a reason raiders signed him till 2027.

Only reason he’s been given permission to leave is because they are extending Papalii
