Also read that they only have 300 or 350k for Kennedy.

Sharks have plenty of forwards, would they want to release one to free up some space.

We've no chance on the dream of Nikora but could a Colquhoun or Hazelton be released.

I also think Puru has talent.

Might be some Salary Cap pressure. Nice.

Talakai would be one of my favourite players to watch in the comp. Hasn't had a great year by his standard. Hard to say what he's one. But such a different body shape to the norm on an edge.

There is a couple in the sharks reserves worth a look for sure.

HIstorically a new club entering the comp that extra completion, that increased $ added to the pool of players drives up the price of all players. He won't even need to go to the bears to realise a higher yearly figure for future years.

Lawton could return to replace Tevanga, particularly if Cowboys pay chunk of his wage to move him on. Similar skill set. Hasn't done much up there and won't see much game time next year with Mahoney joining them.

Albert Hopoate would be a good depth signing if Talau or Faulalo leave. Way down pecking order at Raiders now.

Viliame Fifita looked like a potential gun with us. Hasn't done much at Dragons.

Which other unwanted Manly players, by us or their own club, might work as budget, depth signings for Eagles next year?

I wouldn't object to Lawton returning, particularly if for little outlay. After all, who else is going to replace Tevaga with his experience.

Yes he could formally meet Turbo for the first time. The bloke he seemed blissfully unaware of (playing outside of Tyson) a season or two ago, during SoO.

So reports of Jake being re-signed for $500k for one year and Tommy $800k-$1m over 2-3 years.
I think the Jake extension is on the money, one year contracts for him from now on to see how he is travelling.
Tommy at that price is still overs but usually the reporting price is inflated so hopefully it’s more towards the $800k.
Considering he was asking for a $350k pay cut last year, I’m surprised this new contract has settled around that mark.
I think with the history and risk with Tommy, $750k would be fair for both parties.

Nevertheless we have 2 guys that would never want to play against our great club typify what the club is about!
