Gee I hope our recruitment team is or better still has been working on recruiting forwards not outside backs. Filling the gap with aged injury prone journeymen is not going to cut it anyone and we will be left further behind as other teams like the dogs incrementally improve.

Just could not see a Manly move with Turbo now being offered some type of a future contract and the other established backs tied up for a bit longer yet .
Probably of more interest whether Talau and Faualo will be offered or accept ongoing deals

I think his commitments to his younger siblings will see him staying in SE QLD as you say.

Yeah, the grade roster’s definitely looking a bit light – just have a look at the NSW Cup side each week, it says a lot. As silly as it’d be to throw overs at someone like Staggs… stranger things have happened. I mean, he does have the same manager as Seibold, so who knows – maybe that alone gets him a spot on the team sheet.

Maybe we should start leaning into the Isaac Moses and Wasserman stables a bit more – feels like a few doors have already opened there. Didn’t we see an ex-Wallabies coach sitting in the box the other week? Those sorts of moves don’t happen without a few strings being pulled.

Hopefully this time around, Gentles and Seibold can be a better combo than they were back in the COVID-era Broncos days. Not exactly a high bar to clear, but still…
