We certainly do have both on contract for 26 but there is nothing stopping us letting both know we will be going in a different direction in 27 and if they can secure a longer term deal elsewhere they are free to move on at the end of the season.

I could see Croker picking up a nice 2-3 year deal in the ESL

Brown and Lodge, nobody wants them and a lesser degree Waddell who we have till the end of 2027.

I can't see anyone taking Brown and Waddell. We are stuck with those two who will only get slower. The fact Lawton can hardly get a run at the Cowboys highlights how bad our backrow stocks are. Waddell is our next man up when either of Olakuatau or Burbo become unavailable. It's almost a criminal act that our coach didn't recruit a backrower in the off season. Our deficiency in that area cannot possibly be any more obvious.

And to be clear, I am not a Ben T hater. I actually think he has the potential to be an outstanding backrow forward or even a lock. We missed him big time against the Eels. But we literally have 2 genuine backrowers in our squad.

And we missed out on Dylan Walker coming back, now he would have been handy. That deal was done covertly for sure

Lodge only signed this year and only on pennies right, so no drama.

Probably depends on if Frog or Jackie are on our list in 26.

Stay fit? Lodge looked cooked just taking his jacket off prior to coming onto the field.
