2026 halves plan

My 2026 backs with a left field halfback that I reckon could be brilliant:

1. Turbo or Faulalo (who killed it yesterday against Parra reserves)
2. Saab
3. Koula
4. Garrick (still think he's a winger but happy to be wrong)
5. Faulalo or Talau
6. Brooks with Large understudy (Brooks never to be considered at 7 he's a runner not a playmaker)
7. Hopoate with Walsh understudy (Hoppa huge skills, great hands and passing game, calm and poised, and no smaller than Jayden Campbell, Sam Walker, Ilias, Clifford etc so size not an issue, he'd kill it)

2027 bring in Large and Walsh.

Nobody wins fights on the internet.

Aplogies to all popping into this thread to discuss 2026 halves, my bad on taking us off on a tangent.

I've no problem with you not liking the image the club is portraying, the Manly Way, incorrect grammer, Men talking about their feelings or sitting toofar from campfires or any perceived lack of masculinity.

I'm also happy for you to call me snowflake or champ or sympathetic to whatever. Have at me, its all good.

My point stands though, 'woke' was not used in the correct context IMO.

But hey....one persons learnings is anothers lessons so lets live and let live.

I'm ducking out on this chat so Tp End Eagle feel free to have the last word....or insult if it floats your boat 😊
No need to apologise to me. Then again I'm from the golden West, my hair is cut into a fashionable mullet and I'm nearly always moist.

Is anyone else like me weirdly indifferent to DCE moving on?

Friends, colleagues, family etc keep asking knowing I'm a Manly fan and I feel like I should be outraged at someone...maybe DCE or the club or the Roosters. Perhaps I should be sad bordering on distraught.....but...yeah, Im not that bothered.

And I'm not sure why.

Ideally I'd have wanted him another season or two, but he's off, and I'm okay with it. Was going to happen in the near future anyeay so why not now?

Hope he kills it this year and we win a premiership, then next year, new beginnings.
I'm ready for him to waltz his way out the door, cash sack over his shoulder and Roosters contract in hand. The future is looking brighter and his reign was always nearing its conclusion. The club appear to have planned for this well in advance. The exact opposite of what occured in 2015.

This is exactly how I’ve been feeling

If there was any word that DCE is going to the Dolphins an early player swap could be negotiated, this was reported by Danny Weidler.

Stranded Dolphin?
Here could be an interesting spin-off from Cherry-Evans’ looming Sea Eagles exit. Rival clubs are watching very closely to see where he ends up, and should he somehow finish up playing at the Dolphins, their halfback, Isaiya Katoa, will suddenly become a player of real interest.

Katoa is a genuine halfback in the classic game-managing style and, while he’s under contract until the end of 2028, there is talk the former Penrith junior would like to return to Sydney one day. The Dolphins’ interest in Cherry-Evans is doing little to make Katoa want to stay up north for a long period of time.

Katoa is considered a future Origin player when Nathan Cleary and Mitchell Moses hang up their rep boots. It is a situation that is worth keeping an eye on.

Got nothing to do with smart people , their young , yet to play against men , if you throw them in early it could cripple them physically or mentally.

They need a year in Flegg , then ease them into reserves.
It has everything to do with smart people at clubs feathered friend
Because Smart people have the foresight to make those right choices .
Smart people not only Rule the Game but also the World
This is why the Greatest Asset of any Organisation is the Smart people it Invests in

Can’t see it happening but Katoa is an excellent player. He’s got even better this year and is so young still
