No more Mr Nice Guy, Bozo? If Madge doesn't produce does that mean he's Fudge? It has been a while since the Sea Eagles were true contenders.

The Nice guy perspective ....
Any one can be a yes man or yes mam and be a nice guy
But only the Great ones can be Great guys

If Madge does not produce what does it mean ?
It means we are all only as Great as our last Great Results
Because Great people Keep producing .

It has been a While since Manly were FORMIDABLE and FEARD CONTENDERS
We need to pull our finger out and Make Manly Great again

Indeed they were great years because Great Manly People Made Manly Great
We have been great since then
Since then we have been a formidable contender winning premiership every decade
Including the Record Premiership Winning Margin which was made Possible by our Great Investor Max Delmege
Since then under Penn
We have no Premiership wins in our decade of decline
This is no Vendetta with Penn
What does Vendetta mean ?
It means a Feud with some one
I have no Feud with Penn
I just want to Fire him up
so he can make Manly Great Again !
We all hope Our Record Premiership Winning owner Max Delmege is Healthy and Happy in his Family's Eagle Nest

Certainly we've had some top sides since the 70s but for me six of that playing group are in my best ever Manly side

I guess it's accurate to the extent that neither of them has yet to fully emerge. Both have shown glimpses and can be excellent players on their day, but neither has been a consistent, dominant force at NRL level. We need more from both of them if we're going to compete.

We are all accountable for the choices we make that lead to the results we are responsible for

We Need to Make Manly Great Again
If we keep failing to make Manly Great Again
We should step aside and do the honorable thing by our Legendary club
and give another more capable person an opportunity to do so.

Difficult to quantify for sure. In his era our only good seasons have been when tom or green have run the show. Not considering the dream team he was born into. He has had good hookers, props and pivots and managed a very entertaining meh

Our style is his approach and it isnt methodical or at all successful

While we marvel at Bellamy, what goes un noticed is his ability to manufacture a game managing halfback, he transformed green , with cronk and hughes being high quality managers due to application

For all of bellamys big 4 approach he always has a decent game manager , as do teams playing in the GF . My view is a lifetime contract prevented DCE from being his best and stopped his progression Old vision, he used to take the line on, good player with hunger, but not sure if its all TEAM focussed

My point was that without our Legendary Godfathers Influential Input
we would not have had that Premiership Winning Out put

Id agree with all of that.

I've absolutely been frustrated at times over the years re lack of. End of sets. Composure. Short kicking game. The chicken circles. The all or nothing. Avoiding the organiser role the team needed.

But he is elite.

My biggest disappointment, I think without any questions of a doubt, he could have been our best ever sea eagles 6 or 7.

Club lack of professionalism, coaches coming and going didn't have the security to challenge enough, 8 year contract, as you say would see over night improvement or different style for Qld than at Manly.

Will be symmetry to see hang up the boots with a premiership all the same.

Has never stopped giving it his all.

a fantastic side, and for all DCE's brilliance at times, he doesnt fit for me. I'd have Toovs or even Hasler, you always knew what you were going to get, they had brilliance and when it wasnt their day to shine, they were were still busting a gut and doing little wrong.

And I couldnt imagine some of those hard heads putting up with DCE's game, he would have copped a few behind the ear.
