2025 recruitment & retention

I posted weeks back back in a thread i think Jazz and what he brings is a great fit for us. Straight up I be trying him on that left edge as Lawton replacement if you like. He's a small forward, can play hooker too. Sure he's mainly played middle Id expect his mobile enough for an edge. Experienced campaigner, I just love how competitive he is, built low to the ground is a shape we lack in the forwards, and a genuine ball playing forward too. If he turns out to be too slow out wide, nothing's lost, he can certainly play middle and may be you focus a brownie or MCK out wide if Burbo doesn't keep improving out there. But 💕 the Jazz.

I was always scared playing the Warriors when he was on the field. It just felt like anything could happen... he seems to have some X factor and a point of difference as you say.

He stood so far offside last week he was nearly in our lineup. Ill get you butler didn't ping him once.
May be Jazz just wanted to join us already;-)

That's our quick mobile forwards in brownie and Bull running em ragged up the guts. I may be wrong but I think Jazz has spent a fair chunk of this year on the sideline too. I must say, our new pommy fitness man this year needs plenty ot praise. Our boys have never looked as fit in the last 10 years as they do in 24. If Jazz was struggling for a breather last week, don't worry, Our champion pommy friend will sort him out.

C'mon DH who can forget Trent's main man...Dan Ferris?

I understand Jazz’s nickname is ‘Swing’.

He’s more of a Glenn Miller, than a Duke Ellington, kinda guy.

Maybe Chee - Kam and now possibly Jazz.
Be interesting when everything is finalized.
Also be interesting what type of money the Cows have offered the Lawman .
Must have been not inconsiderable .
Looks like not much chance of Lodge staying on next season and Woodsey is calling it a day ?

Odd to let Lawton go and then sign Jazz… would’ve preferred to keep Karl
We let Lawton go before we rightfully started playing him in the backrow, dare I say we would've put in a better effort to keep him had we moved him there earlier

All for the Tevaga signing if the rumours are true but certainly wouldn't be looking at him as a replacement for Lawton, moreso another impact middle off the bench like Bullemor & Browny. Really hope we have something on the cards for the left edge spot because Burbo, Waddell & Michael Chee Kam are not going to cut it.

on Lodge, he lives on the Northern Beaches and has a young family, his first preference would be to stay at Manly you'd have to think.

It's true our edge forward stocks seem to lag in terms of 'eliteness'.

Having said that, maybe the combination of Burbo, Chee Kam, possibly Talau, Schoupp all competing for a first grade start on our left edge, will produce a similar end result as having 1 top line player prone to season fluctuating form and injury?
