We are a club and team on the improve.
Our consistency was markedly the best it's been in a decade this year.
But winning a comp ain't easy.

Last season we underachieved .
This season we made the top 8 with a top 8 squad .
This season we met expectations . We did not over achieve
For our club to improve from this years effort we must do better next year than this years underwhelming finals exit .

Our Benchmark is Winning Grand finals !

But winning a comp ain't easy.???
Especially when you dont have a Grand final Winning coach

I hope I am wrong and you are right because I want Manly to win a Grand final
But I have no faith in Seibold

Has that been confirmed by the club? I haven’t seen anything unless I missed it

Just going on what the Telegraph said. Manly have resigned Corey Waddell for a further 3 yrs to the end of 2027.

Reading the Cowboys forum they dont seem to rate DJ, the consensous seems he showed talent early but hasn't kicked on.

They seem happy he wont be taking a top 30 spot.

Doesn't read as sour grapes either.

That said, kid is still you so I wont write him off, but I'll have measured expectations to begin with.

Lets not forget this is where Condon came from, hope he is better than him

Now if Seibs is doing a great job and if he can get us to premiership glory for mine are unfortunately 2 different things.

And to find out if Seibs can take us all the way.

To find that one out Scotty needs his US connections and $ flowing.

Ok. I know we both put Bellamy & Bozo Fulton in that top shelf category of coaches.

The gut ache started coaching the Storm in 2003. Stripped of a Premiership in 2007 & 2009 for cheating the cap. So a club clearly willing to find a way with....$$$ to win.

So history will show took 9 years even for the painful one to (officially) win a comp.

Storm still owned by Murdock. So you think just $ to burn regardless of how many record books are kept.

They buy great juniors which is part of their sustained success. But belly clearly gets the best out of his players too.

Back when those great Manly teams had Premiership glory and set those high standards you speak of. It is interestingly Bozo Fulton had Kerri Packer he could debrief with.

My point. Even the greatest of coaches need. $ for a premiership to follow.

Now as a top 6 coach Seibs can be considered a good coach, he's done better than most have achieved.

Now even if we do have a top 4 list right now. It's not Premiership capable yet.

And the new Tigers kid has a gun hooker brother who may come over as well. Can't believe there isn't a young gun lerft side 2nd rower wanting to play first grade now. It's waiting. Must be a kid at Penrith or NZ.

I thought Keeley looked good for Norths Devils. Averaging huge metres in QLD cup this year at 2nd row. Won't get much of a look in at Dolphins

Central Coast kid too. Plays left side too.

He had a really good top grade game this year when Fins beat the Eels in Darwin.

Seibs had his chance this season
Going down heavily to the sharks and losing at home which cost us a critical Home final
Then being totally out played by the roosters and eliminated
Seibs has a Good roster
He has both origin captains
He has the Top Turbo and plenty of speed in the back line
He has accomplished halves
He has a Big pack and the unstoppable Haumole
What Seibold Has not done is over achieve
I do not believe that Seibold is the one to take Manly to the top
Scotty should have spent more money and got Bennett at Manly
You watch Souths go up the ladder next season

Every boy can be a bit of a dick . But some boys are bigger dicks than others
A Johns undoubtably a Great player was also a bit of a dick . So is the Magnificent Munster
But Great coaches get the better of them and keep them in line for most of the time
