2025 Draw

There would have been big big $$$ involved for the club being Friday night of Magic Round.

They’d have to share with the other “ home club “ that plays at 6pm , but with over 50k attending , and at big $$$ per seat , they’d have made a motza.

I’d suggest the hit to the back pocket for avoiding this would be LARGE.

But , we are far more likely to beat the Donkeys at home than in Brizvegas, so maybe the 2 points is more important after all.

I assume each team will have to cop a bye during magic round at some stage. If 2025 is our turn then so be it.

It will however be amusing when the donkeys get their turn for the bye during magic round as I get the feeling that they think they somewhat own the event

Won't happen when we go to 18 20 teams there will be no bye rounds at magic round the broncos and all qld teams will never get a bye at magic round so far it's been dragons us Newcastle that have had the bye rounds at magic round

But I agree with you it's just our turn to cop the magic round bye

It is on less away trip we have to make plus not giving a home game away is another bonus

Draw is out:

Looks like finally we get a decent run

Seems alright, my only issue really is around the byes. We play all 3 rounds that are right before Origin, meaning 3 games without our main troops. In comparison, Penrith get 2 of those 3 rounds off. Yes, we get a bye AFTER 2 of the Origin games but more often than not our players back up for those games anyway. I think with our lack of depth particularly in the halves i'd prefer the bye before Origin rather than after.

5 of our first 7 games at home could set us up nicely, and we get 2 of our last 3 games at home as well, with a seemingly kind run at the back end.

Pretty good draw for us, only concern being a lot of footy in a short period:

The Sea Eagles face two very big challenges in 2025 with Manly playing three games in 11 days between rounds 5-7, and three games in 12 days from rounds 10-12.

After playing Melbourne on a Sunday at home in round five, Manly fly to Perth to tackle the Sharks the following Saturday. Manly then back up just five days later to play the Dragons at 4 Pines Park on Easter Thursday.

Following an away game to premiers Penrith at CommBank Stadium in round eight and the team's first bye in round nine, Manly then face their second demanding turnaround schedule between rounds 10-12.

Round 10 sees a Sunday showdown with the Sharks at 4 Pines Park before Manly travel to Townsville to play the Cowboys the following Saturday in round 11.

The Sea Eagles then back up the following Friday in round 12 to tackle the Eels at CommBank Stadium.

Our run home is decent though.

The Sea Eagles will be without their Origin players in Rd 12 (vs Parramatta), Rd 15 (vs Titans) and Rd 19 (vs Souths).

The State of Origin series kicks off on Wednesday, May 28, at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, before heading to Optus Stadium, Perth, on Wednesday, June 18, for Game two. Game three will be played at Accor Stadium on Wednesday, July 9.

The Sea Eagles have been allocated the following all-important turnaround times between each round.

- 8 x 6 day turnarounds

- 2 x 5 day turnarounds

- 13 x 7 or more day turnarounds
