Gee wiz Suali’i had a hell of a game tonight. That is by far the best I have seen him play. He will be in demand after his fugby stint.

Even though I hate the Roosters I was sad to see JWH and Keary play their last games. They have been great players/enemies and icons of the game.

At least Fatty saw it. On FOX is was a three man circle jerk, with no one mentioning it. Until they kept replaying it. And even then they had to be told three times, before the beating stopped.

When they went down to Lara and she said initially the nrl said it was cat 2 and then changed it to a cat 1, I was thinking how big are those brown paper bags because if Koula got instantly ruled a cat 1 but you've got Collins playing the ball the complete opposite way, not knowing where he is or who he's playing for, I was ready to flip **** upside down.

Reading about the game it'll be interesting (code for 'not surprising') about what action the totally independent mrc will take regarding NAS's straight shoulder to the head of collins, and also a blatant trip by hughes.

I 'totally' believe they'll both be given a week.

As the more click bait websites tell me that the world is stunned by the bunker farce missing that knock on - well, it was the ref and I'm more than happy not to have the bunker rules on indiscretions based on previous plays. Even if Annesley continually tells us the bunker gets it right 99% of the time.

rorters should've done what the eels would do and cause a penalty, then immediately call for a captains challenge to see the knock on.

Victor the inflictor didn’t even try and tackle Pappy in the breakaway with his dud shoulder in a Trbo 30% like effort.

Why didn’t we target these two injured players last week?

Exactly this.

I remember some years back Joey Johns going off when QLD won an Origin game with Thurston playing injured and to paraphrase Joey, when you can see a guy is playing injured you show him he shouldn't be out there! Us, we not only let a guy play on with a known broken shoulder bone we even waved and bowed while he scored a try!! Fair dinkum FMD. Storm, they exposed the injured blokes. We got a lot of basic things still to learn.

Particular note: how impressive was the Storm defensive line speed last night? They absolutely suffocated those big Roosters backs.

Asofa-Solomona was sent to the sin bin for the hit, which was deemed by the NRL’s match review committee on Saturday morning to be a grade three careless high tackle.

As a result, Asofa-Solomona is facing a four-game suspension even with the early guilty plea.

He will be banned five games if he fights the charge and is unsuccessful.

Felt a bit sorry for Collins.
Poetic justice would have had the Storm kick off to JWH instead of Collins.
Oh well thank goodness not too many more non-Manly games left to watch now.
Couldn't help but be impressed by the Storm spine players though, and the way they combine increases their effectiveness exponentially (I think that means a lot)
