Next Sunday’s game against the Sharks will see a few players potentially walk out the last time in a Manly jersey at Brookie for the club.

If the game against the Dogs doesn’t go our way a few players may get a rest.

Leaving the club confirmed
Karl Lawton
Jamie Humphreys
Aaron Woods

Not Signed beyond 2024
Raymond Vaega
Matthew Lodge
Corey Waddell, has been reported he had signed for another 3 seasons though nothing confirmed.

Signed 2025 & longer who could move on
Jake Arthur, some innuendo he is joining his brother at the Knights.
Ben Condon, has had two years and hasn’t progressed.
Brad Parker, the move to the second row has been binned of late and the leg speed has gone, hasn’t been near first grade selection this year.
Dean Matterson, signed in the 30 though hasn’t pressed for a first grade jumper.
Aitasi James, a development player who had his first season at the club.
Jaxon Paulo, well the three year deal hurts, doesn’t look a first grader.

I discriminate indiscriminately
I thought Jaxon showed some promising signs early doors but had a couple of stumbles and others (specifically Hoppa and Talau) took their chances and locked down spots...

I doubt Paulo will be going anywhere though... unless the tigpies want to sign ANOTHER Manly player...

I think Paulo as depth for high injury toll to our back 5 is a pretty handy option.

Thought he was terrible. Got absolutely bullied in contact. Ran soft and didn’t show any real signs of proper speed or ability.

Take your point but I thought he was OK early rounds, was generally good under kicks and he was good against the dragqueens in a bad game for the whole side... his PTB speed was not quick enough generally for his position tho and he had a bad game (cant recall which one) where it pretty much sealed his fate...

Personally I think he has more upside than Ray...

I think he has more potential than ray but ray ray got that dawwwg in him which is probably what our team needs.

Paulo looks to have been playing pretty well of late in reserves. Tommy 2 has earned his place well. We might be very thankful we have Jaxson yet. It takes a squad not just those who usually are in the top 17.

Jazz from Warriors coming next year to cover prop/hooker which is a bit of a Lawton replacement. Thought Humphrey looked good but you can’t blame him moving being behind DCE/Brookes and Crocker/CTK at hooker. We really need a left side second row player to bookend Oka.

Going to have to upgrade Lehi soon so Brad [ Parker "s ] contract amount could come in handy .
Then looks like Lodge could be well worth trying to retain so maybe the likes of Condon , Matterson moving on could make allowances for that .
Not sure with Jake Arthur possibly moving and Humphries definitely leaving .
Cap goes up next season ? Could help Manly "s overall contract and cap situation no doubt then

Good Summary feathered friend
As far as Parkers leg speed had gone .Parker never had any leg speed .
Karl Lawton back from injury was back to his best and he will be missed
Jamie Humphreys could be and not be and its up to Bennet to see
Aaron Woods has been playing a few seasons too long
Corey Waddell I believe has had an extension . Minimum $ contact I hope
Jake Arthur is a fair back up
Jaxon Paulo is a fine athlete and looks like a first grader but does not play like a fist grader
Ben Condon , Dean Matterson , Aitasi James are NSW cup standards
Player Exits gives us opportunities to unearth superior players
As the only way up is with upgrades

Looks like Parker is retiring according to Woodsie…

Woods also said he believes fellow Sea Eagles player Brad Parker, who ran out with him in NSW Cup on the weekend, is also set to retire, although that is yet to be confirmed by Parker himself.

Parker is contracted with the Sea Eagles until the end of next year.
