2024 GRAND FINAL

Anyone else see big Nelson standing there like a big body guard staring out the Panthers, where they were to walk thru to get their medals. Wasn't even with his "teammates" he let down. What a pig of a man.

Probably not allowed on the field as he is suspended, like Ola when the Blues won.

Anybody noticed how many times Grant placed himself at the play the ball areas. I counted 3 times he did this and not pinged once by Klien. Aren't you supposed to move away immediately from the ruck area not stand there and impede like a Easter Island statue.

Yes I hate the fact that the NRL/Referees aren't wise to this obvious ruck slowing tactic. It was actually refreshing to watch the NRLW grand final by comparison, there was much less ruck spoiling tolerated by the refs.

What do we all think. Did the Storm score a second try or was it held up?
There are multiple photos online showing ball hits the turf. People out there saying that it’s forearm under the ball. No way!! And bulldogs video he shares cuts out right but the angle of the ball changes and it hits the turf

Held up for mine but could have gone either way based on refs call... bunker footage released by NRL shows it up but other angles indicate it could have touched...

The angles that "show" the ball touching the grass are looking down on the ball and do not conclusively support try...

What do we think of the "strip" on Papenhausen that led to Storm's first try? Were the riff players holding the arm and not the ball? Should it have been 14-0 to the Panthers?

The stills of the ball "touching" the ground are so hampered by shadows and parallax that you can't even see where the ball is in relation to the ground, the video that shows the angle of Howarth's forearm under the ball is pretty clear, the part of the ball that supposedly touched the ground is nowhere near it at any point in that footage.

I was happy with it, l thought they put enough purchase on the ball to call "intent".
We ( & the bunker ) can never be 100% on the intent to strip or not and the players know it but it situations like that let's just say the defender doesn't put his hand there by mistake.

That upsets me greatly. I really wanted the purple scum to have had that unfairly stolen like they did to us in 2007 and to the slime in 2009.
Geez, you have been hanging on to that one mate. And rightly so i might add

Yep, the Crocker hit to Stewart's head catching that bomb would have been a sin bin if not send off in the modern game - and rightly so in my opinion. Both Slater and Crocker had him lined up for a dog shot.
Yeah had the whiff of terry lamb v salary hanley

In saying that slater copped some treatment in his day also. Not enough for my liking
