Parker will never play on the wing in the NRL again... he was nothing short of diabolical when Trent persisted with playing him in that position.

Definitely frustrating, especially because in my opinion, he excels at centre. He's far too good to be playing Canterbury Cup, too. That said, no way Walker / Suli get dropped, then you have to squeeze Saab, Taufua, Garrick, Funa & Tuipulotu (who hasn't signed a 4 year deal to play in reserves).

Parker's only problems playing on the wing was (a) defending outside of Suli in a team performing the up and in defence like uncoordinated and intoxicated pelicans ... (b) and never getting the ball passed to him by Suli ... (PSS name a winger that didn't look ordinary last year defending) ..

His kick returns and hit ups were very good, the ones were he didn't knock himself out I mean ... His bomb catching was also good and finished the tries he had to ...

He is not my first choice as a winger with the depth we have there ... but Dessie will pick who he believes is the best "First Grader" ... to think that he won't be picked on the wing under certain circumstances is short sighted ...

You really are a classic mate. Your post clearly states that the up and in defence is one of the main reasons Parker looked so bad on the wing. Baz didn’t employ the up and in structure though. Dessie did.

Des didn’t play Parker on the wing these past two seasons. So, now that we have signed Saab and Tuipulotu to go with our other wing candidates... I really don’t think Des will be playing him there again. Brad is a much better centre.

I hope we adopt the policy of a Meritocracy this year ... and choose on form ... give blokes their chance and stay loyal .. but at some point if they are struggling for form .. we have blokes eager to step up and show what they do got .. will be an interesting season ...

Again you change the point ... I also don't think Parker will be selected at wing ... but your emphatic statement that he will never play there is a nonsense ... I reiterate ... if the circumstances occur ... Dessie will select who he believes are his best first graders ... and as my original post confirms ... Parker would be a depth choice on the wing .... 5th or 6th maybe .... but certainly a choice ...

Sorry for the wrong impression as fully aware that you made it up and in any case know that it is a standard practice to come down fairly hard on anyone who tries to have simultaneous poster identities . Being affected by the fairly severe cold snap in the American north east at present ?. know that it can get pretty cold in the border areas there as Niagara Falls was just about frozen over at the time in winter when i visited there quite some time ago
