With the release of Anderson and the doubt over Miski and the sad loss of Titmuss ... Hopefully we will have another important signing .. but as we stand our team and depth are ..

F. Tom ... Funa, Garrick
W. Jorge , Garick , Funa, Suli, Saab, Tupaloopa, Parker, Harper, Koula,,
C Walker Suli , Parker, Harper, Funa, Garrick, Burbo
5/8 .. Foran, Schuster, Walker, Cust, Croker ... (edit .. Weekes)
Half ... DCE, Foran, Cust, Croker
Lock ... Jake, Siro, Davey, Guacamole,
2nd Row ... Siro, Guacamole, GoJetski, Davey, Burbo,
Hooker ... (Fainu), Croker, Cust, Foran
Prop ... Paseka, Marty, Aloaoi, Keppie, Boyle, Sipley, Saddler, Tuitavake, Fainu Jnr.

Don't know where to put Weekes ? Half, Fullback, wing ??

Other than the obvious question marks over fullback and hooker, it appears that all other positions have pretty good depth and coverage ... and competition for spots should be vigorous .... as long as injuries are NOT excessive we should be able to compete for 26 rounds ....

Hey Woodsie - Happy Festive season mate !!
Weekes preferred in halves but also FB...but the others you have there as backup to Turbo will be Way ahead in choice...
Tuipulotu has also played centres but likely to be a winger as you have selected

Cheers mate .. and merry festivus back at ya ...

A lot of options in most positions ... I hope we adopt the policy of a Meritocracy this year ... and choose on form ... give blokes their chance and stay loyal .. but at some point if they are struggling for form .. we have blokes eager to step up and show what they do got .. will be an interesting season ...

Certainly can not underestimate Burbo coming into contention for a i st grade spot sometime , has the enthusiasm , size and hopefully the ability and probably as a back rower . Even though he was apparently training as a centre last season .

We have 2 positions to fill in the squad by my calculations - one Top 30 and one Dev Squad.

Agree .. but I don't think the NRL have even finalised the squad size and salary cap figure for next year yet ... probably keeping some powder dry ..

Depends what they do with Fainu, they could apply to NRL dispensation to get him replaced as part of the stand down so technically there could be 2 Top 30 spots available

Looks really strong (much better than last season) mate. The challenging for spots will be amazing & interesting.

Also, merry Christmas to you and your lovely family @Woodsie , hope its filled with happiness, laughter and of course most importantly health and wellbeing 🙂

Just read an article that states IF Fainu is not cleared to start the season, Manly will be seeking dispensation from the NRL to sign a hooker before the season starts. Id say #30 in our squad is definitely going to be a 9 or utility. It was widely thought we had already used this money but it appears not!

I think with the additions of Saab, Tuipilotu and the emergence of Funa we have enough Fullback cover. Could also use Walker there and play one of these guys at centre.
EDIT:

At sixes and sevens

Foran's signing reunites the 2011 premiership-winning halves pairing of he and Cherry-Evans, and forecasts a spine shake-up sorely needed last season.

With Trbojevic, hooker Manase Fainu and five-eighth/centre Dylan Walker sidelined for much of 2020, opposition defences were able to keep Cherry-Evans under wraps, particularly at the end of sets.

Hasler still has Foran in mind for a potential move to dummy-half given Fainu's unavailability under the no-fault stand down policy could last until his scheduled trial in July over an alleged stabbing last year.

If Fainu remains stood down Manly will likely apply for salary cap dispensation for a hooker or playmaker with utility value by March.

Regardless, both Foran and highly rated youngster Josh Schuster will play big roles in the Sea Eagles spine.

Foran's signing is understood to have raised concerns in Schuster's camp over his first-grade pathway.

Manly in turn have outlined the 19-year-old's long-term future at No.6 alongside Cherry-Evans, starting in 2020.

Dessie's all over it.

Only raises one question ... which rake is sitting at home waiting for a phone call ?

Can't see it being a top line player ... which leaves the second best option of a young 2nd or 3rd string hooker that another club will release ... or an end of career player like Isaac Luke ... either way I can't see it being a Smith ...

That’s all we’ll get or Nathan Peats

I don't think we were ever sign a gun hooker, it was only ever going to be a young gun wanting a year to probe himself or a journeyman. No genuine hooker wants to take up a 1 year deal until Fainu's case is heard. There is probably 3 or 4 options on our radar and no need to rush a decision. Whatever player we do pick up will probably be a back up option here too

Parker will never play on the wing in the NRL again... he was nothing short of diabolical when Trent persisted with playing him in that position.
