Tim Lafai is set for a Canterbury homecoming that could result in him playing against St George Illawarra next weekend.

Lafai is poised to become the latest Dragon to leave the club before his contract expires, following the likes of James Graham and Issac Luke in recent weeks. Winger Jason Saab has also been agitating for a release, while Tristan Sailor is frustrated by a lack of opportunities at the Red V.

The Bulldogs are also eyeing Canberra’s Nick Cotric for next year, and are hopeful of retaining off-contract stars Adam Elliott and Kieran Foran.

The Red V continue to consider replacements for English international Graham, with Penrith’s Kaide Ellis on the shortlist.

Another Panther, Jed Cartwright, has signed a three-year deal to join South Sydney.

Several clubs are keeping an eye on sacked Bulldog Corey Harawira-Naera.
The Roosters and Tigers are monitoring the outcome closely.

:whew:

The Broncos are going to desperate lengths to try and keep superstar David Fifita at the club.
The Courier Mailreports the club has told injured outside back Jack Bird he is free to exit the club immediately as it looks to free up salary cap space to throw more cash at Fifita.

“A major development for the Broncos, they have told Jack Bird, they’re (smh) injure-prone utility he is free to leave immediately,” he said.

Bird, a former NSW Origin centre, has played just 17 games for the Broncos in three years due to a cruel run of injuries, including his latest, a torn ACL suffered in

(what? where? who?)

RUMOURS flying here, there and everywhere....Curtis Rona to the Raiders (rumour only), $BW to the Rorters as mentioned on another thread, rumour only but I can see it happening.
Lock this one in....Bad boy Bulldog Corey H-Naera is signed, sealed and delivered express post to the Canberra Raiders, effective immediately.

Maligned Titans forward Bryce Cartwright is on the verge of quitting the Gold Coast club as he weighs up his future in the NRL.

News Corp can reveal Cartwright is seeking a release from his contract at the Titans to return to Sydney for personal reasons.

Cartwright was a notable omission from the Titans team for last week’s loss to Melbourne and will not face his former club Penrith on Sunday afternoon at Cbus Super Stadium.

It is understood Cartwright has returned to Sydney with his family and may have played his last game for the Titans.

Newcastle Knights emerge as shock contender to sign Canterbury Bulldogs veteran Kieran Foran:

Rugby star Charlotte Caslick has been granted clearance to join the NRLW but she is unlikely to suit up for representative duty in league.

Caslick, who was a key part of Australia’s gold medal-winning women’s rugby sevens team at the 2016 Olympics, has held discussions with the Roosters about making a switch this season.

Playmaker Blake Green will leave the Warriors to join the Knights for the remainder of the 2020 season effective immediately.
Phil Rothfield revealed on The Big Sport Breakfast that Green will shift to Newcastle, after falling out of favour at the Warriors.

“Blake Green has quit the Warriors,” Rothfield said on Sky Sports Radio on Tuesday.
