2018 Draw

Can anyone tell me if the control of the draw reverts to the NRL next year ?

If so, will 9/FOX have any input ?

It will be interesting to see if the draw is designed to maximise crowds instead of the usual bias towards TV audiences. Will the Donkeys be permanently super glued to Friday nights again ?

I know all 26 rounds will be released at once and we actually did get our share of afternoon games in 2017. Let's hope this happens again next year. I'm expecting us to be significantly stronger next year and this usually translates to bigger crowds.

That wouldn't surprise me. 9 will have donkeys on Fri night for 24 straight rounds.

While control of the draw does revert to the NRL in 2018, Greenturd in his infinite wisdom has already come out this year and said that they will work closely with the broadcasters on the issue.

So don't expect much, if anything, to change. Thursday's will still be there and the staple on Thursday or Friday night will still be the Donkeys while the Sunday arvo game will, as usual, likely to be spread mostly among Souffs, Tigpies, Dogs, Penrith, doesn't-matta and St Merge.

In other words.....same as normal.

Over the past five seasons, the Broncos have had Thursday or Friday night matches in 18 rounds.

A draft copy of the draw for 2018 reveals the Broncos will get only 13 prime-time fixtures.

There was a story a couple of months ago saying that the Broncos wanted Sunday afternoon games . Greenturd was quoted as saying that he would do what he could to ensure that this request was granted. No bias there!!!!
