2017 Stanley Cup finals! Pens v Preds

Then there were two!

After a month or so of watching some teams bat above their weight (sens) and others choke (caps) the 16 teams who made the finals have been weighed and measured.

Two remain. The Nashville predators and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Pittsburgh are going to their second straight Stanley cup final after defeating Canada's last remaining team the Ottawa Senators in game seven.

Nashville are appearing in their very first cup playoff after beating the Anaheim ducks.

Will the experience of the Pens with the world's best player in Sidney Crosby teamed with Malkin be too strong for the ever hopeful Nashville predators backed by defensive favourite P.K. Subban?

Who knows. Experts say the Pens but a best of 7 game series is a long stretch.

Should be good!

Although I would be happy for Nashville to win, I think Pens 4-1.
If the Pens can stay out of the niggle and just play fast they'll do it.

Pittsburgh leading 2-0 in the best of 7 series.

The goalie from Nashville has the worst save percentage of a finals goalie since 1967 (.77%)

They've been 2 'weird' games.

Rinne was the main reason they got to the final. Will need a good rebound from him to avoid a sweep

Agreed. He is usually a wall for nashville. I still feel the first two games were a bit weird, so hopefully playing at home will help with a 2 game bounce back.

Nashville hit back in their first home game of the series. 5-1 the final score.

Crosby and Malkin failed to register a shot. the first time that has happened to them...ever in all of their play off games. That's 143 games!

Pens still lead overall 2-1. (best of seven)

Preds win 4-1 , the second of their 2 home game stretch.

It's now 2-2 with both teams winning their home games.

We now go alternate home games until it's all decided!

I really don't know.

The coach likes Murray and has played as well as M.A-F, but once at home...maybe he wants to give maf the first shot to make sure he is on top of his game....in case he's needed (injuries) sometime in the next 3 games (3 games max)

Murray played goalie, and game 5 was a ba ba ba ba ba-low ooooout!

Yup, a blowout with the pens winning 6-0!!!

they lead the series 3-2 and can clinch the cup (again) by winning 1 of the next 2 games.
