2017 Preview | Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles

tookey

First Grader
2016 was a tough year for Sea Eagles fans as it again had to watch the Finals Series from their televisions sets after the Northern Beaches boys recorded just 8 wins from its 24 matches, including losing the last five matches of the season.

New coach Trent Barrett has certainly been given a baptism of fire upon entry to Brookvale (or is that Lottoland?); adding to this is the loss of experienced players Glenn Stewart, Brett Stewart (lost to injury for most of 2016) and now the retirement of club legend Jamie Lyon.

However the former Australian Kangaroos halfback has invested heavily in the transfer market this past offseason with the signings of halfback Jackson Hastings from the Roosters, Fijian flyer Akulia Uate from the fledgling Newcastle Knights and boom rookie Cameron Cullen from the Gold Coast Titans.

"the fledging Newcastle Knights"?
WTF??
Who writes this stuff?

I understand someone has put effort into writing this, but I have been more impressed with some of my after grog bogs, than that pile of steaming crap.

Boom rookie signed from the Coast is Cullen??? I'll see your Cullen and raise you a Brian Kelly.

Lussick second row?
Brown starting second row?

And yes the comment about "fledgling Newcastle" was a particularly nutty piece of this turd.

Look where the article came from, League Unlimited (LU). That alone is a red flag for intelligence.

Matthew Wright and Lewis Brown starting? Darcy in the back row with Marty Taupau at prop? Who writes this garbage???

I hope this blokes right. I'd love the sea-Eagles to have 'some extensive success' this year. On the back of those 'sheer skills' of Tom T.

I never thought of Trent as a halfback .. only a 5/8 .. I know he did play some games at halfback ... oh well that did detract from the quality of the article
