2017 NRL Draw

Broncos will play 90% of Friday games.
Eels and Roosters will play mostly Thursday and Sunday to suit channel 9.
That means all that is left for Manly is Saturdays unless we are playing a team the NRL want in the top 4, then we will get Thursday night for a short turn around.
Dogs will only play 1 Sunday game to look after Hoppa

Sad thing is that that actually would happen. We'd actually have a good draw I think, we have been known in recent seasons for leading the complaints so they'd definitely like that to end

I find it amazing that the NRL don't prioritise this. AFL draw is out this week (as always weeks before the NRL) - surely they lose something in terms of competitive advantage by not releasing their draw for weeks and weeks after. GWS are already making dents into the Western Sydney sporting landscape, the NRL by delaying the draw and marketing around that, just giving them another leg-up in my opinion....

BTW am I the only Manly fan that loves Saturday night games - more the merrier in my opinion!

AFL draw officially released this morning. Let's see how long Greenturd takes.
By the way, I had Jake T call me up ten minutes ago to renew my membership... he should be concentrating on the Kangaroos.

The nrl could learn much from the afl in relation to the draw.

I am a Carlton blues member and I can plan now what games I want to see.

It is frustrating that all of us who are season ticket holders are being asked to renew our membership before we know the draw and if we don't renew we risk losing our seat for next season.

The draw for 2017 could have and should have been available after Round 26 2016........the fairest draw need only one formula. What gets conflated here is the difference between a draw and a schedule.....of course they can take a bit longer to schedule the fair draw.

BTW the fairest draw is
1,3,5,7,9,11,13 and 15
and
2,4,6,8,10,12,14 and 16
play each other twice
and the other side once.

Completely fair and can't be rigged......that's why it won't happen....sigh.

We'll still get Sunday afternoon Tigpies/Dogs/Chooks/Speels

Everything else will fill in to fit that like it does now with Thursday's the domain of Souffs and probably Manly.

Parra are a good choice. As the pattern goes for teams that get caught cheating and winning a GF, they are due next year. Can't say they are a good team, but when has that ever stopped the NRL from making sure they get their winner!

If it is based purely on who should win, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Titans give it a real shake, Canberra have to be up there as one of the favorites and the scum seem to live up to their appropriate name and hang around like a bad smell every year.
