He's been released due to home sickness.

Im a St.Helens fan and it's come out this week that his manager has said he is definitely staying with us and seeing out his contract in 2015.

Nowadays that doesn't gurantee anything.

But he certainly hasn't been released, and he wouldn't be released early without a reasonable transfer fee.

IN what may prove a boon for Central Coast rugby league, three Wyong Roos players have joined the Sydney Roosters NRL squad for pre-season training.

Prop Magnus Stromquist, hooker Mitch Williams and back-rower Leivaha Pulu have all been rewarded for their strong showings during the 2014 NSW Cup season with a six week training run with the Roosters.

Barba is reported to have been offered $650,000 a season at Cronulla. Surely Brisbane would be paying at least half of this.
There are two things I can't understand:
1. How can Cronulla continue to recruit such high-profile players and still remain under the cap? and
2. Wouldn't it be better for Brisbane to retain Barba and keep him as a replacement option in case of injury to Dear Darius, instead of forking out, say $300,000, to have Barba play against you?
