Already Premiership winners, there is no doubting that Sea Eagles’ halves pairing Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans have the potential to bring long term success to Brookvale, and that is no more evident than in their third year together in 2013.
They continued to improve and mature under Geoff Toovey last year, so what can they produce this season?

HALVES
It says quite a bit about the success of Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans that at just 22 and 23 respectively, both are premiership winning internationals into their third year as an NRL partnership. They will again direct the team around the park in 2013, but should injury or representative duty strike, there are plenty of options for Geoff Toovey. Kieran’s brother Liam can fulfill either role, while Jamie Buhrer, Kayne Lawton and Jamie Lyon have also spent time in the halves.

New recruit Dane Chisholm will definitely be knocking down the door for a first grade spot, while Will Pearsall and Sam Short are two youngsters to look out for in the NYC squad.

New recruit Dane Chisholm performing some pre-season testing. Can he put pressure on Foran and Cherry-Evans?
Bottom Line for 2013:
As with the whole Sea Eagles squad, the continuity factor will be very helpful for success in the halves for 2013. Foran and Cherry-Evans continue to build a dominant partnership, and they could again be the difference makers for Manly this year, particularly under the tutelage of rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns.

Depth was lacking last year when Foz was out. DCE was shut down far too easily without that other attacking foil in our arsenal. Chisholm is a quality depth signing for us, much like D. Mortimer was for the Chooks last year.
