A fair bit of the talk on the radio today centred on the speed of the play the ball this year compared to last. The claim was that the Tigers and Cowboys have been adversely affected by the call (made a coaches meeting early in the year) that there was too much advantage to the attack and that defences should have time to reset. Hence more calls for dominant tackles, surrender and slower play the balls.

The claim was that the semis this year have not been memorable and that the teams with Big Boppas who can dominate are doing better.

In my view Melbourne winning the minor remeiership refutes this idea though the jury is out on how they will go against St G next week.

Opinions and thoughts???

St george will beat them and make the grand final

Saints will choke, as soon as people expect them to win the comp, they falter
