There is no easy way to say this. This team has a dreadful habit of making every mistake in the book for a 15-20 minute period and it is costing us game after game.
Today we start on fire, in total control, same old crap, dropped ball, penalty, concede a try. Then it snowballs, sin binning, 2 more soft tries and a game we boss we are now behind.
Second half, we withstand Souths for 10 minutes then hit back and again dominate. Then with us at their throats, a crap option, ball conceded, penalty conceded, dropped bomb under no pressure, presentation 2 points, then shortly after give up the ball from a shepherd and we are then put away and to add insult to injury they pile on 12 extra ridiculous points. 38 points conceded in 2 x 20 minutes of disaster.
The team has consistently had periods like this from the 2016 season and it is killing us.
Indiscipline is dreadful, bad ball control, stupid penalities and we give up a big score.
I am not sure where we go from here but surely the time has come to make some changes. I have loved Jorge Tafua's work over the years but the truth is now he is a liability, not getting the metres he used to get and under the high ball, well we all know hes been struggling there. Dylan Walker messed up today, missing tackles and taking a bad option with the ball when we were struggling that cost us dearly.
I know its only game 2 but this team will not win a fig until they learn to control the ball, control a game when on top of a team and control things when we fall behind.
It cant go on like this. The vermin were pretty ordinary but they whipped us easily cause when they were in adversity they stuck to their tried and trusted game plan. We have lost ours.
Fix it Barrett and Fulton or go!!
