When should we take the 2 points early?

The comment about the difference was just a general statement. In the latter part of the first half we showed that we could match it with the Storm. At the time we took the penalty, noboby knew how this game was going to play out. After the three tries to break the game open, we were...

    Massive turning point today

This comment really shows that you have ever played sport at any level. You know what, when you play sport, at whatever level, you occasionally make mistakes or things don't go as planned. You do understand that that the ball is egg shaped, and they use a different one each week. *And while I...

When should we take the 2 points early?

At the time, straight in front, was the best decision. Hindsight shows differently but definitely wasn't the difference.

    MVP: Rd 4 v Storm

Haumole - if he is not the most damaging second rower in the comp, and possibly forward, who is? And his second half offload shows the skill he has. Koula - best game in Manly colours. Only gets the two after going himself and not passing to his open winger. Brooks - his speed on the left...

    Massive turning point today

Over the telecast there were multiple tackles where the Brookie faithful were letting the ref know that the Storm were getting away with murder at the ruck. There was one set where the booing was consistent throughout 4 of the six tackles. Result - zero penalties. The storm are still up to their...

    MVP: Rd 3 v Raiders

3 Bully - Changed the momentum 2 Ola - An absolute beast 1 DCE - Well controlled and as soon as he found the chink just kept peppering Weekes with high balls Honourable mention and congrats to Reuben.

The Jazz thread ... all that Jazz

Gets out of dummy half quickly and passes out in front of the players which allowed us to get a bit of a roll on. The result, 3 tries in the 10 minutes.

    Lehi the 1 Turbo centre

Turbo is our best 1. Lehi at 1 and Turbo at right centre, alongside Ola, may well be our strongest team. Imagine trying to defend the right with Tom and Ola, and Li'l Hoppa probing out the back. *pardon the Hoppa pun

    2025 Rule Changes

If the rule is to stop the initial collision of the front rowers against a wall of bodies, one option is to give the attacking team the ball on the 20 to start their set if the ball goes over the 20 on the full. Give them six tackles from there. Too many seven tackle sets. Pet hate: A ball over...

    Voss commentary

The refs and FOX get their cue cards from the NRL pre-game. How good was it that we upset the apple cart.

    Spoonbowl 24

If they continue to play like they have the second half of this year, and the last two weeks especially, it won't be a dream. With scrutiny put on Walters in the lead up to Melbourne game, and then losing to a half century, his position is untenable moving forward.

    Lehi Hopoate

Hadn't noticed it from us this year. As mentioned in my prior post, makes sense with Lawton in the team to cover 9 and Jake the FR rotation when needed.

Sorry, didn't have a chance to watch Friday's game and could only get the highlights. Happy to hear Seibs is mixing things up a little. Makes sense with Lawton coming back into the team.

    The scales of Reuben.

Adjusted scores with actual scores in brackets. I am not sure it causes any problems. IMO, the most important point would be to be comparing apples to apples.

While I understand what you are saying, and would agree, is there a game this year where we have seen a back on the bench?

    Turbo good to go

Different positions, different loads. Did you see the hit on Cherry by Kikau? The second dig was a cheap shot that looked to piss DCE off majorly. Some players, Cam Smith being an example, seem to be lucky. Others, not so much. Jake, 'touching wood here', looks to be in the first batch.

    Turbo good to go

Geez, Mick, you must be fun at parties. If we are being honest, our season will probably falter due to the other teams being more well rounded than us. Matt Lodge is a boost for us and should provide some go forward as we enter the late rounds and finals.

    The scales of Reuben.

There should definitely be an adjustment to the number for those who played prior to 83 in their points totals, etc. Surely they can show both scores and add notes to confirm.

    Lodge, you Monster

While I didn't see the game last night, hopefully we can resign Lodge. If we do manage to resign, I hope we can keep him on the field for an extended period of time. While I understand he is not on the same money as Turbo, just out of interest, and without looking it up, how many games do you...

I’m not one for ‘calling out’ players but….

I am interested in why you feel this way.
