Burbo - lots of enthusiasm in defence, and more effective in attack. Forming a decent combination with brooks. Hoppa - elite yardage effort from our own end. Quality player. Jazz - gutsy all-effort player. A tough and skillful small middle forward - just what we have needed.- themanwithnoname

Tevaga is actually a pretty good pick up. He isn't a hooker, but he is a pretty handy middle forward/13. He can hit and spin, offload and is a good defender. Gutsy player too.- themanwithnoname

Line speed and ruck area
I agree. Our initial contact isn't great either and we allow a lot of post contact metres. We must must be one of the poorer teams in holding an attacker up, then pushing them backwards and slowly to the ground. Need a new wrestling coach!- themanwithnoname

I agree results are not manufactured, but a highly successful Western Sydney team is part of the NRL strategy to resist the AFL and the GWS. Similarly, a successful Victorian team is also strategically desirable. I suspect the NRL don't pay too much attention to the panfers incredible line speed...- themanwithnoname

Our backs are fine, especially when you consider how infrequently our forward pack dominates (or even matches) the opposition. Speed and mongrel in the forwards is what we lack. I like this signing. Sounds like it isn't going to break the bank being a 1 year deal towards the end of his career. Jazz can give away a penalty and has had more than his share of injuries. I agree with most comments, and also feel coaches, who deliberately push beyond the rules (and spirit of the game) are at least partly to blame. For example, a stronger officiating body could have zealously penalised the neck pressure/wrestling when this started and killed it off. But what about...- themanwithnoname

Just a thought - key ingredient missing
Even some small changes would help. Why do Saab, Garrick (and to lesser extent Talau) regularly receive the ball 2, 3 or 4 metres behind the play the ball when working out from our own end? The storm back 3 always receive it "flat" at the play the ball (or forward).- themanwithnoname
