    Bateman

    Disagree - INMHO Bateman would be a retrograde step - punted from two previous clubs where he displayed minimal loyalty. Also, not big enough and too old.

    Lehi Hopoate

    My only caveat about Lehi is that he seems to lack genuine SPEED. e.g. could not go with Turbo when he scored that intercept try. Hopefully as Lehi matures physically he will improve his running capability.

    Completely agree about the dummy-half situation. If we stick with the status quo- we will NOT progress. Need to make complete change in direction with that position. Coaches the likes of Bellamy, Bennett etc would not hesitate.

    The music played throughout games is a big put off for me - stupifyingly silly, down market and asinine.

    One worries about Manly's management of players. Our depth is terrible - the worst in the League?? with a laughable reserve grade side. And what about the loss of talent such as with Humphries and the Fainu boys with whom so much time, effort and finance has been squandered??

    Next season - should Croker be retained - Manly will remain uncompetitive with most sides.

    Certainly looks to be a "good'un". Has the size to perhaps fit in at centre or full-back. One proviso about those videos - the defences involved were very poor.

    What benefit would there be by retaining Croker?? As a measure of his ability/effectiveness - would he be selected in any other NRL side?

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

    The dummy-half position at Manly has become FARCICAL. It is glaringly obvious that Croker's very one dimensional play is beyond inadequate, and I believe that inadequacy has been dragging the team down. If this particular situation is replicated next year we will see the same mediocre endings...

    Agree about the dummy-half situation. Manly will continue to NOT progress whilst it continues to stick with Croker - who is the least effective dummy-half, (which arguably is the most important position within an NRL side), in the competition. I am now of the view he actually holds the team...

    When will Manly accept the fact that Croker is completely inadequate at dummy-half. Lacks speed and any suggestion of evasiveness. Service is also far to predictable. On balance is marked negative for Manly.

    Clayton Faulalo

    Probably has as much physicality as young Hopoate - and he seems to survive OK. If he has sufficient speed he should do OK - as he seems to be a good footballer..
