Sorry I didn't know. My apologies Budgie. Should have guessed but not paying attention.

You need to keep up with the conversation Cochrane. The issue related to a statement made by Budgie, who actually is one of my more favourite commenters, saying that supporters don't like DCE. I know what he was trying to say but I just added that there are those who do favour him. I suspected I...

Budgie, I would dispute one issue here. Certainly DCE polarises fans, for reasons that are somewhat complex. However, there seem to be many who admire the oft criticised captain, including this little black duck. I note several on this site who think well of him so the correct statement is he's...

Easy to forget that its only two years ago since DCE was king of SOO. Even last year, though the Blues won 2-1, he was outstanding. This is one game and he was surrounded by several key players off their game. And despite the Sydney news service bias, they were hardly thrashed. Manly's loss to...

    Pre-Game Manly V Broncos [Round 13, 2025]

I suspect Manly will win this one for two reasons. They are playing at home and don't want to embarrass themselves before their attending supporters. Secondly they don't want to embarrass themselves before their supporters in general after such a few poor displays recently. Hopefully also DCE...

    Sea Eagles' Feet of Clay

Mentioned the money issue paragraph 2. The issue with Toovey came at the end of a great age and he got them to the controversial Grand Final 2013, came 2nd 2014 but 9th 2015. He had a Manly side certainly with outstanding players but he lost Watmough and Glenn Stewart in 2014 and the great trio...

    Sea Eagles' Feet of Clay

Before I venture into controversial considerations, I point out that I am only an observer, one having watched Manly for 50 years, but still an observer. I know nothing of the machinations within the Manly camp and club, and acknowledge that my comments are at best conjectural without a full...

    [Resurrected] Taupau being shopped?

Not quite. As I said the issue is regarding an intention to drive, not being intoxicated and that's the issue in law (look it up). If the keys are in the ignition, it can imply that you intended to drive (tricky one that). If you are just asleep in the car especially if not in the driver's seat...

    [Resurrected] Taupau being shopped?

I'm from the pre 2010 legal world so I cant be certain. But it seems you can be charged if you are in the drivers seat and have the key in attempting to start the car. I guess that comes down to the perception of the arresting officer. The issue is about intent to drive not being intoxicated...

    [Resurrected] Taupau being shopped?

Must have had the keys in the ignition. Not realised by many. Remove the keys and they shouldn't be able to charge you for PCA

    [Resurrected] Ben Trbojevic for NSW

Ben is coming of age. He's not as fast or dynamic as Tom but he's tougher and defends better and attacks well. Not as strong a defender as Jake, but faster and more dynamic. He's like a combination of Tom and Jake. Not as good at Tom's or Jake's specialities but has a combination of those skills...

I would have been OK if he had retired and maybe given one more year a Manly. Time to move on. Give the young bucks a chance to develop. Its very much a young players game

Cant agree there. Both players were noted defenders and active in attack, so they made contact very regularly.. It demonstrated just how fit they were. I remember stories for instance of how Hasler used to jog backwards up Darley Road Manly near the old hospital. Cant say if that's just an urban...

    What was the question again?

    The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

True. Point is he is showing good form and obviously it has impressed Bennett enough to place him on the reserves bench. He was showing nothing even in the lower grades at Manly after 2021. Should be a very interesting later stage of the season at Souths.

Should be obvious Mark. He loves the game. He's developed a range of skills few wll match and has worked hard to reach that level. Yes, he could pick up a media job, maybe get into coaching and eventually administration. But its not the same. He's the alpha male at present. He's back to cadet in...

    The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

I didn't see the game, but Wombat64 indicated that in his last game, I assume in the Reggies, he scored a try, set up two others, made 2 line breaks, 4 tackle busts and ran 100 metres. I would think that suggests he's getting there.
