    Competition integrity

There certainly needs something done to stop teams deliberately tanking. Easts didn't mind when Melbourne gifted them a win, but you can bet they will start bleating if they lose to Souths and have to watch the 'Fins playing a Canberra team with 10 players rested.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

But the season will probably not be over for Easts for a week or more. Can't see them wanting distractions during the finals.

Positive suggestions for the club going forward

Have shares in the caravan company, Mark?

    Pre-Game Manly V Warriors [Round 27, 2025]

OK. I thought the downgrading would simply reduce the number of matches he'd be suspended for. So, who would replace him if the appeal is unsuccessful?

    Why has Sippers been picked?

Luke Brooks - the plate is hot

I respect you opinion, but I can't agree. Brooks has had very little penetration. I can't recall any/many deft passes to put his outside backs through gaps, and his kicking has been average. He would have to be near the bottom of the least effective 5/8th in the comp. One characteristic he does...

    Pre-Game Manly V Warriors [Round 27, 2025]

Well, if they do win again there's nothing more certain than Canterbury will find the cash to buy some of their remaining stars.

    Pre-Game Manly V Warriors [Round 27, 2025]

And to think, such a great match was officiated without The Bunker! About the only things better in today's RL is the goal kicker (changing from the leather balls), and the quality of the surface at Brookie.
  9. The Who

    Caleb Navale

He plays at a faster speed than the existing forwards.

    NSW Cup 2025

Seibold has not given a player his debut all season. Some clubs had given eight debuts (and I'm not including Penrith's mob last match).

Positive suggestions for the club going forward

Stability? If it wasn't for dodgy chairs we'd still have Twenty as coach!
  12. The Who

    Tommy Talau

I don't remember this, and can't find the details anywhere. His records show he played in the NSW Cup as a 5/8 once (for Wests in 2023), and he played as 5/8 in the NSW Under 20's team V Queensland in 2020. But he is regarded as a centre or winger so he may not have the passing or kicking skills...

    Tommy Talau

I'd like to see TT2 be given a shot at 5/8. I understand he played in that position as a junior. We all know what Brooks can and can't do. He is not the answer. If we really want to move forward in 2026 than we need to be bold. Drop Brooks. Give Walsh and/or TT2 a chance at 5/8. And, of course...

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

    Don't you go blaming me!

Positive suggestions for the club going forward

That probably means my suggestion will be ignored: Let members of Silvertails put questions to the club, or individual players, and hopefully have them answered. It could be in the form of an Ask Igor column that is updated weekly. I realise we'd almost certainly only receive woke responses or...

Let's trial a NRL match WITHOUT the Bunker

Perhaps, but remember when the NRL introduced two referees? Eventually it was abandoned.
  18. The Who

    Jake Simpkin signed until 2026

I reckon he's good; not in the top echelon but an important part of our team. He provides good service, he does plenty of tackling, doesn't give away penalties, and tries hard. Sure, he could run more, but he'll do me.

Let's trial a NRL match WITHOUT the Bunker

I think there is a problem with a system supposed to identify and correct mistakes which only officiates on certain aspects of the play. Not being technically capable of telling if a pass goes forward is a huge red flag that the system is far from accurate. Not being able to go back more than...

    DCE Memories

He is a great footballer, but his most amazing attribute is his resilience. How he manages to play 'every' match is outstanding. I dare to say that no other player (perhaps Cam Smith?) has missed fewer matches through injury (per rata).
