    Yep, it's a chicken-and-egg type of situation - if we had a better bunch of forwards, then Croker would be okay. He is no worse than Kenny and Verrills. But seeing we don't have a good forward pack then Croker's limitations are constantly talked about.

    Like you, i love Tof and have been a big supporter of him on here. There was a period early last year when I thought he had broken through, but injuries have hampered him. Hoping he can find his best form.

    I must be watching a different game - Sipley isn't of first grade standard anymore due to his lateral quickness (slowness?) And is prone to a handing error as well. But as you say, he's got plenty of mates lately that have been just as bad.

    Most clubs have a "big" 3 or 4 - ours just happen to be a combination of old, slow and injured.

    I wasn't having a shot at those two guys - i was making the point that we look our best with an actual hooker and a mobile lock. And if at some stage we can upgrade those positions it will look even better.

    Its actually frightening that we look our best with Simpkin at 9 and Jazz at 13 - because both of those guys are basically fringe to middling first graders. Imagine if we had even the 8th or 9th best NRL players at those positions.

    BA definitely not. Holbrook the best of those above and perhaps Hannay if we want a first timer. If we were serious we would throw a bucket load of cash at a better coach under contract.

    I don't think Simpkin is a star but he needs to be in our 17. Our best footy in the last 6 weeks have had him starting and Jazz at lock. Seibold has definitely lost me going back to the Croker at 9 and Jake at 13 combo.

    The Ex players that led us to premiership glory were also legend coaches. We just need a really good coach no matter the background. Easier said than done I know. But yes if the owner had the money and the nouse he would throw the cheque book at Cleary.
