We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

Need a dummy-half who has a bit of leg speed and can scoot when the opportunity arises. This position has been a significant basic handicap for Many for a number of seasons now. Has to be rectified as a priority in any team rebuild.

    Sack Seibold Immediately

But the matter of paying out contracts has to be considered! Don't know what the answer is!

    NSW Cup 2025

Dont think Sykes has ever been given a chance in the NRL side.

    NSW Cup 2025

Sykes has now been around for a couple of seasons and is wholehearted type of player. Deserves a chance in the top side.

    NSW Cup 2025

From my observations of Chee Kam this season is that he is disinterested, and therefore not putting in. At age 33 why on earth was he signed?

    NSW Cup - young players

Am confident Walsh will be ready for the NRL side next season.

We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

Many contributors here frequently bag the Penn ownership. But realistically that is a HUGE back room staff and must cost a fortune. So, without doubt the owners are committing to a significant financial investment to the running of the club. But of course the playing recruitment processes are a...

    The Clean Out 2025 Edition

Tevanga, Taukeiaho, and Croker are part of the symptoms ( ageing rejects) that need to be cleared out of Manly.

We are Laughing stock of the NRL

agree there has to be a huge restructure of the team, don't know about the contractual situations of the various players you mention as it may be difficult to move them out??

We are Laughing stock of the NRL

Do not agree about the talent stuff. Our forward pack mainly comprises REJECTS from other clubs, and reckon only Bullemore, Olakauatu, and possibly Ben T and Jake (I suppose) would get a game in any other NRL club.

    Aloiai Gone

Reckon there is an even better prospect in the Warriors reserve grade - check out Toby Crosby, was a union school boys star when recruited by the Warriors Runs like a wounded bull. Just what we need.

    Josh Aloiai

Jacob Sykes in the 2nds looks a likely type to me. Big and mobile enough. Deserves a chance, but this Manly administration prefers aging cast offs.

    Pre-Game Titans V Manly [Round 15, 2025]

Same old Dads' Army pack again. Not a hint of any youth. Also, no back-up back on the bench. The Manly back-line can be potent, but realistically this team is fragile and not certain to win against any team.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

This DCE situation is a debacle for him, the Manly club, and rugby league. I will not bag DCE as a player as I have rated him as a Manly great. Just a huge pity that he bungled his last season - got it all wrong, and may have wrecked his legacy. But no kudos for the Manly club either which...

    Pre-Game Titans V Manly [Round 15, 2025]

One can only hope that Siebold watched the Warriors' demolition of Cronulla and the dominating performance of their four very young forwards. Now time to give one or two of our young forwards a go - such as young Dunford or Sykes, both of who have adequate size and speed. Waste of time...

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

Agree. Reckon the club is in malaise with every grade side affected. Our retention and recruitment has been poor. How we have been saddled with a pack largely consisting of cast offs is astonishing, and plus of course we have had the DCE debacle. Does the current management have the nous and...

Seen Chee Kam in the Reserves this year? - totally non involved - got punted by Souths for a reason.

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

Hi Dingo, Agree. I think the club is in a real mess as the poor results relate to all the grades - with not much improvement in prospect due to the seeming shortage of talented younger players coming through. I am not in the know with what is going on internally at the club, but it seems to me...

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

I primarily blame the coach for this loss as 1. Once again failed to select a back on the bench - as Ben T. previously has shown that he now cannot handle playing in the centres any more. and 2. Selecting Waddell who lacks pace and cannot defend laterally (lost count of his missed tackles).

    Pre-Game Manly V Broncos [Round 13, 2025]

None of them would get a run at any other NRL side.
