Disclaimer - I am not a fan of Josh based on the way I feel he used his personal influence and belief to undermine our club last year at a time where we needed cooler heads to prevail (you may disagree - but thats fine) having said that.... I totally agree. We are seem to be a desirable club for players to re-sign and extend contracts with. We have two players who look likely to win a world cup. We made finals just last season. We won a Daly M just last year..... Our facilities have improved. Not exactly 'crisis' material. Dont...- Harmless27

Interested to understand how you figured that out. Is it based on avg points/season, positions on the ladder, or just lack of premierships? 1998 - 10th place 1999 - 9th place 2000 - 12th place 2001 - 10th place 2002 - 9th palce 2003 - 14th place (?) 2004 - 15th place (?) An interesting thought. I wonder if he would go to the Titans..... and if he does, will he break the bank to take some of our 'top talent. Its hard to know if he will be willing to be the same (or more) in order to tempt them away.... last time he did that - he tore apart a premiership winning...- Harmless27

Also - FWIW: I would be happy with a change here. Something HAS to change. The owner is the owner - unless you have the $$$ to buy the club, we will not see a change. So we are stuck with him (which for me, isn't ideal, but isn't the end of the world) Des is clearly past it. Still good? yes...- Harmless27

I literally had the current club challenges in the back of my mind as I read it - it is incredible to think that this has grown over time in Western Sydney. It shouldn't be a surprise really.... Couldn't agree more. Does anyone remember the dark days where our club thought that Craig Field would pass muster for the mighty eagles? Craig Field was a standout player for Souths in a very hopeless team.... but it made him look like a bloody star. We fell for it. Dark days indeed.- Harmless27
