The problem is his position in the media, which he blatantly uses to gain advantage for his club. Surely that's a conflict of interest but no doubt the NRL will continue to turn a blind eye to it, along with Anasta being a player manager & using his media presence to his advantage there too.

Yep, it'll be nice to have a calm head steering the ship under pressure instead of headless chook mode & 1% kicks on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd tackle.

They also got rid of 30 players in a 2 or 3 year period, MASSIVE clean out without having to pay anyone out. Very rarely does that scenario present itself as 30 different contracts usually overlap.

I like the way Fogarty just managed that 10 minute period when Horsbrogh was off the field in the sin bin just then. Very calm & steady, maintained possession & wore the clock down.

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

Wow, this thread is just FULL of people choosing to totally ignore facts just so they can p*ss & moan about the club & throw all the blame on someone. What a misery 😂 Jacob Preston has said himself that he didn’t put in his best performance when he trialled for Manly as his head wasn’t in the...

Latest is that Tigers have slapped a $165k transfer fee on Galvin if he wants to leave before season's end.

That would be amazing if true & would also explain why DCE went public apparently before Manly made a formal offer, & also why Manly apparently made a rushed offer on air to NRL360. according to that snake Weidler & the NRL360 hosts (even though that was dispelled as BS soon after, as the club...

I'm not confused biff, I'm simply asking you to explain exactly how it works, since you're all over the place telling us all how it works, & taking others who disagree with you task. It's plain you DKS about the NRL's market value process.

    Galvin

No kidding, 'market value as determined by the NRL', not 'market value determined by you based on what the Tigers offered him'. So in your opinion, Galvin's market value is $800k? How does that 'reflect' what the Tigers offered him? $6.5m over 6 years = $1.083m. That's a difference of ~$200k...

Here you are telling me to look at a post that quotes Danny Weidler saying the NRL market value for DCE is $400k. But hang on, Manly offered him $750k a year for 2 seasons - does what Manly offered him now trump the NRL's market value amount, you know, like how Galvin's market value is now...

    Galvin

Here you are disagreeing with someone saying what the Tigers offered him isn't his market value.
  20. 47MVEagle

    Galvin

Oh, here you are saying whoever signs him has to pay him something 'near' what the Tigers offered him. How near, in your opinion?
