Kikau signs deal with Bulldogs for 2023, as picture in rival colours angers Panthers

THE NRL is mad for allowing this to happen. Taking photos. I'm sorry, absolutely no loyalty and if he was one of our boys then send him to Blacktown. This type of stuff kills the fabric of clubs trying to win comps. There is no way now he can give 100% to Panthers. His mind is now elsewhere and...

    Latu Fainu

Interesting for Josh, not sure he would want 2nd row to be his future?? Latu and Humphries are only halves.

Thanks Dion for that, great read.

    Latu Fainu

Is anyone able to post the article as it's behind a paywall.

    Latu Fainu

I think the respect the club have from his family and the wider Islander community will pay us back big time in the future. I don't blame guys trying to get a pay day as their careers are only 10 years as well. You can see the great work happening in the Pathways and kids finally coming through...

Our Centre Dilemma - or is it ?

Can't win the premiership with those two.

    Manase Fainu

Absolute agree, I have been thinking of this. He surely could sue for damages and loss of earnings. How could he not? He was proven innocent. I also think nearly 3 years of stand downs for a player who still remains not convicted is wrong. And I mean any club as well.

    Manase Fainu

Amazing family coming through. The respect we will receive of the Islander community will pay off in the future. Latu the 5/8 from Matts will be an absolute superstar in the next few years. He is playing up an age group and was the best player in the comp. Sam the front rower will be too.

The Hoppa Poll . Change vote option activated

It is such a sad thing that when you think that there was a whole lot of John's kids who were local rep juniors and Dad was a star at our club and none ever made it with us, except Will, who left us straight away. Then you look at Tom, Jake and Ben. The Hopoates will always have a masive chip on...

Does Manly pack have enough Mongrel ?

I really hope we don't lose out with Koula. You can't coach that pace and he is so fast guys like him will change the way defences work. Look at Jimmy the Jet, I now he had issues but imagine marking him, if he got away from you he was gone. Bit like Saab in the clear. It also would make it...

Does Manly pack have enough Mongrel ?

You have to have at least one strike centre who causes panic in defences. We forget we had them in our GF wins. Players such as O'Connor, Innes, Hill, Lyon, Steve Bell, Matai, even Steve Menzies in the backline as 2nd row. Sadly, comparing Brad and Morgan to these guys and there is part of the...

Does Manly pack have enough Mongrel ?

We won't win the prize with Parker and Harper as main centres. You need more than that.

    Signings very quiet

Sione Fainu has the amazing build for this powerhouse type of forward coming through. Unlucky he got injured at the end of the season. From Ennis with the Blues 18's: NSW Under-18s coach Michael Ennis described Fainu as a really modern-day front-row or middle forward who has got beautiful...

    Signings very quiet

Big call but Foz has gone as far as he can. He killed it but it is time to get Schuster out of 2nd row, put him in 5/8 develop a hard running 2nd rower like Garner, Burbo or even Parker (great defence as well) . We need more speed in at least one centre position as it is obvious who we attack...

    Shortlists

A marvellous season. I think we should look within with the kids coming through. Free up the cap to make 1-2 bigger signings and that will be it.

    Jason Saab

Old memories here, mostly a reserve grade winger from Manly, c'mon, sharpen that memory. Darren Riley. Played 4 first grade games. Do you remember him. I saw one game he got the ball in our quarter and took off and it was like watching Bolt. He just few. Peter C off here in 2010: We also had a...

    Does Fainu walk back in?

I know, he was running riot and he just made it so hard for the opposition to decide his play. You sort of know most hookers pick up and pass off, Manase would just run so defences had to be aware of him running and if he did pass, there were gaps. Those highlights, plus his amazing family of...

    Does Fainu walk back in?

We are forgetting that Fainu is an amazing runner and his options make the defence even more confused. Think guys look Cook and even Cam Smith, their running and movement ability is why these two guys are looked on as the best hookers in the recent years. Smith would probably be the best ever...

    Keppie

At 36-6, he tried to get Keppie to react, get a week suspension and suck him in. Keppie never retaliated. Brilliant!!

    Speedsters

And Koula is supposedly faster. Imagine him at left centre flying down the left touchline.
