Pre-Game Roosters V Manly [Round 21, 2024]
for me - this game against the Roosters isn't life or death.... I think the more critical game/s are the weeks after. My reasoning: Given we have the BYE next week, we effectively have a few weeks in which 90% of our squad will/should be back to full fitness and well rested for the final attack...- Harmless27

The great expansion conundrum....
I 100% agree that there needs to be more of a reward/carrot to the clubs and players to reward Loyalty over time. I ALSO believe that Sydney is a more expensive place than North Qld for example (or Melbourne - where I live) and we need to think about ways to accommodate players living in Sydney...- Harmless27

I think the broader point here (and I like the thread intent BTW) is that we seem to still be producing talent through a range of pathways. Humphries is leaving - it is a shame..... The narrative down here in the Media has been anger and frustration that the AFL has again let the NRL swan in on a Wednesday night and not have ANY AFL competition up against them. Weather Update from Melbourne CBD: I don't know what the BoM are smoking (showers this morning?) But from my office it is clear skies and sunshine.... And no dew this morning either. Who is in better form?
I love how different they are. For me, Jake is always an 8/10..... so consistent. But never a 10. Tom is not injured - so now just working on form and confidence IMO. He is building - ut HEAPS of upside Burbo for me is most improved and showing a level we have only really heard about from match...- Harmless27
