    I can still go to pubs and my mates remind me about Manly in the 70s Greg Hartley buying players from other teams with a bucket load of cash , I just shake my head and laugh its only the likes of Mike Gibson etc that rewind the time machine to stir the pot GOD IT WAS 40 YEARS AGO.

    Now they are showing NSW cup on fox you can really see the gap between that comp and first grade , same old story not enough top class players to service the NRL and that reflects in some of the ordinary games. Holden Cup they are to young and NSW cup generally quality of player is poor.

    If the guy gives it away at the end of the season Manly must keep him in some sort of mentor capacity at the club . He is one of the nicest blokes in the NRL on and off the paddock and gives 100% every time he plays , he is an asset that shouldnt be lost.

    Its only round 2 but I cannot remember so many new faces blending so easily into a side that quickly. And the point is they arnt players with stars other their dressing rooms just good players busting their bums trying and make an impression in their first season at Manly.

    Not being tough just stating he has plenty of good players behind him looking for a break . He did run the ball back after trying to will it over the line and thanks to a poor chase by the broncos found there was no one in front of him so yes it looked good but he is going to get caught out one day.

    Agreed the coverage was piss poor and the voice over with SBW was cringe worthy I hit the mute button till it was over. The spidercam operators obvoiusly where rusty because some of the shots and angles where just plain amaturish about as good as johns and fittler dogging fat guys in jerseys...
