    2014 Ladder Predictions

    Unfortunately I cant see us featuring in the big end of season games next year. With the Stewart brothers both having shocking seasons last year and our other aging stars like Lyon, Matai, Choc, King and Ballin a year older and slower its inevitable that we slide down into lower half of the ladder.

    It was very even and for that reason I believe this Grand Final had the best atmosphere I can ever remember at ANZ (I attend the GF every year). Dogs v Roosters in 2004 and Parra v Newcastle in 2001 were great too from memory.

    Absolute crap. The soft defence was because we were forced to make extra tackles and use up extra energy in the 1st half that we shouldn't have had to make. These extra tackles were a direct result of refereeing incompetence.

    I recall when we'd beaten Newcastle 13 times in a row and met them in the grand final. A good record means little when you start off each match nil-all, especially in a GF. I have been trying for almost 16 years to wipe my memory of that game. I was almost there until I read that.

    Of course they will if it has been decided before the match that a Souths win will be more beneficial for the NRL/News Limited/Ch9 than a Manly win. That is exactly what occurred last night. With Souths on the slide recently it was important that they won last night to ensure their 2 big games...
