    Australian Team

I was shocked to see Webb in the team. I can honestly say that i hope New Zealand wins and that it is because of mistakes made by Webb and Slater. I can't stand Ricky Stuart.

    Australian Team

Stewart misses out. Team: Billy Slater, Greg Inglis, Mark Gasnier, Justin Hodges, Israel Folau, Darren Lockyer (capt), Johnathan Thurston, Brent Kite, Cameron Smith, Petero Civoniceva, Ryan Hoffman, Paul Gallen, Greg Bird. Interchange: Carl Webb, Anthony Tupou, Willie Mason, Kurt Gidley.

    Off contract list

I think Campese would be well worth it. He is still fairly young and seems to be quite solid with a bit of flair. The other one i rate highly is Weyman. Apart from the fact he gets injured all the time he always hits the line hard. Although we really don't need another prop.

Are our players going backwards under Des

Thats why having good support staff is essential. You need an assistant coach, and specialist coaches that compliment each other. Do we have that? I think that mostly Des' influence on the majority of players has been great. Sure he has made some mistakes (Lyon at 5/8) but as someone else...

    Storm V Raiders

I don't think Harrigan knows how to award tries when he is the video ref.

    Bunch of Sooks

My wife and I went on Friday night and slummed it in the rain. It was brilliant hearing some of the Eels fans sitting near us giving it to Grothe all night. There was also another Eels fan who spent the whole night screaming profanities at players from both teams, as well as the refs and...

    Brent Kite gets second wind

I reckon Stewart is a shoe-in for the test spot. He was great on Friday night and even in the games we have lost, he has been solid. Surely that is enough for the incumbent to keep his spot.

    2007 Premier League YART

I hope Lyon is at 5/8, after a year of mostly directionless attack, i don't know how much more i can take.

What happened to playing in Canberra next year?

I'm just hoping that we play Canberra twice this year. We went down to Brookie twice, and it just so happened we saw the raiders play manly in round 1. We also saw the Broncos beat us. I really don't think we should come again this year. 2004 and 2005 we played them twice. Hopefully we do in...

    My 2007 Squad Prediction:-

If i were Brett Stewart and i was really only on 150k, i would be finding myself a new club.

    NRL Draw for 2007

So we will be playing down here this year? That will be good. We traveled up to Sydney for two games last season and lost both of them, i was getting wary about doing it again this season.

    Matai injured

All i noticed was that he needed assistance from a trainer more than everyone else combined. It was very much the same in the first game. I don't know if it is that he is injury prone, or if he is just a sook, but we might need to look at hiring a 'matai trainer' next year.

    Lyon what possition

I really hope Lyon is at 5/8. I'm not sure how much more of us wandering around the field all season looking totally incompetent in attack i can stand.

    Matai

Poor. Maybe 4/10. Seemed to spend more time trying to get involved in the niggly stuff than actually playing decent footy. His defence was woeful, out of position often and really did nothing in attack. Hope he plays better next time.

    Test Match Response

I'm not talking about just one occasion. He was constantly out of position all night.

    Test Match Response

I thought Matai played poorly. Hardly did anything all game, except be out of position and make cheap shots. It is only because NZ hardly have anyone else that he will be playing next game.

    Jason King

 Kind of reminds me of those hopeless people who try out for Australian Idol. They try really hard to sing but its just not going to happen. Perhaps someone should tell King that while we appreciate that 'he works hard to be the very best prop that he can be' that you either have it...

    Matai makes NZ squad

Ohh i reckon Matai will definately step up. He will be really pumped up that first tackle he goes to make will be a swinging arm and that will be it for the rest of the game

    Beaver quits Rep duties

Matai has to play in the centres.... not because i think he is fantastic, but simply because putting him the back row means putting Lyon in the centre's which means i have to face another year of watching us wander around football fields lacking any kind of attack.

    Chris Hicks

I thought Hicks had a solid season. He had moments where he was really good, and i can honestly not think of any occasions where he cost us the game. Which is more than i can say for some other players who had 'great seasons'. Oh and if Lyon plays in the centres next season i'm going to cry.
