    Walker and kelly

Dylan Walker was Dally M centre of the year last year, when he had been played in position by TB. He made the PMs team in PNG and then got injured, otherwise he was on his way back into to the Australian side. He's a first rate centre and if I was him I'd be pretty frustrated at how he has...

Membership - now is the time

I auto-renewed my two tickets in Jane Try - I'll do the same every year. I just go for Manly. Whatever the current frictions have been, the club always comes back, always has. These have been a great few days.

Lyall on Big Sports Breakfast - 1017 AM

Very impressed by Lyall. An experienced steady hand, clarity of thinking and the personal strength to (somewhat) hold his own with a strong willed owner and coach. The general membership outreach has been a revelation.

    Who called it first?

To be fair, Zorba made the call that he would return in one of his first Manly Daily articles in 2011 after Des left. Obviously not a popular call at the time, but he mad the call back then, and he's now been vindicated.

    Penn deserves some credit.

Agree - kudos to Scott Penn and Lyall Gorman for firstly being proactive about membership communication and feedback, including holding the meeting two weeks ago, and then taking on board the broad view. I suspect their is a fair bit of trust-rebuilding to be done over time, but they are...

    Immortals and hall of fame

There were so few Manly players in the original 100 inducted into the HOF that its nice to see some recognition with this latest announcement.

    The not so big screen

Agree and I noticed it on the night as well - after waiting this long for it to be installed, how disapointing. If they want to advertise that much, put a neon sign in next to it or similar.

QLD Origin Team [Game 1, 2018]

I agree with you, but if DCE was in and they are beaten badly, he'd get all the blame. No doubt about it. Much better for him to come in at a later stage and be part of the solution. NSW looks the better team this year, but you never know with Origin. If their halves get munched, DCE will...

Manly vs Brisbane pre-game Team Lists (and discussion)

How is Jacob Loko going so far this year? Curious that Suli was promoted ahead of him given age and experience, but I haven't seen either play this year.

[Resurrected] Dylan Walker determined to be Manly's long-term No.6

Or, just possibly, TB may have more information about the situation at hand than anyone here and be making the right decision for the benefit of the team. Its easy to slam people from the cheap seats -- he's not a fool and as strange as this decision is to all of us, lets see how it goes.

    2018 Rd 5 - Manly v Titans: - Pre-Game Discussion.

No Darcy though. Maybe his is leaving after-all. A shame - I think he would round out the prop rotation nicely.

    Played in good spirit.

Glad you posted this because I noticed the same thing. I was at the game and it was obviously a fierce physical contest, but both teams showed respect for each other and there were a few smiles after hard tackles or bundle outs etc. I'd prefer to show my kids this as a way to compete vs. the...

‘I thought I would die’: Manly forward Lloyd Perrett reveals life-threatening seizure

Not sure about your comments on the wording, but the table and scoring mechanism seem to give a pretty clear guideline set as to when to cancel a game.

Can we win the Comp 2017

Dream Grand Final: Manly-Melbourne, 10 years on, we get them in the last GF before their big 3 break up, and as a precursor of the Storm's fade to obscurity. Anything is possible and its OK to dream.

NEWS: Will Tom be Manly’s greatest ever?

Great post - and you wont read truer words here. Think of the injuries to a player like Nik Kosef, or if Brett Steward had not been injured those years head probably already have passed Irvine's record ... hopefully fate smiles on Tom and Jake. For now, enjoy the spectacle.

    Choc is officially retired

Good luck to him and his family in the future. A tough way to go out, although it looks as though his contract will be paid out. An acrimonious departure from Manly, but for many years before that he was someone that bled maroon and white.

Jake - Myles - Kapow - New Game ON!

It has been a difficult adjustment, but the owners and management are to be congratulated for their courage and vision in putting 2016 together. This restructuring has been reminiscent of what Bennett did with the Broncos last year. Having the Will Badel (the video review guy) come back from...

Snake moves up to 6th top try scorer all time

He actually missed three years if you count 2003. He'd already be over 200 tries now if not for that - at least 30 clear of Slater who started in the same year.

    Brett Stewart

It was nice to see Billy Slater acknowledge Brett's consistent comeback from debilitating injuries in the post game interview. It also prompted me to check the numbers. Brett now has 149 tries (from 201 club games, which is a 74.1% strike rate). This compares to Slater (270 games, 170 tries...
