    Really annoys me when a club says it is happy to let a star player out of a contract to go to RU, but won't do same to let them go to another NRL club. It diminishes the NRL as a whole.

    This is a great point. RU says there's no contest for the ball in league, but they are just looking at each tackle and play the ball when they say that. NRL teams are really contesting each other set vs set, not play the ball vs play the ball. Not that in the end that RU is that different...

    I also wonder if these push supports trend is the result of getting rid in the early 1990s of the attacking team having to be back 5m from the play the ball.

    Give the credit to Glenn Stewart. In the early 2000s halfbacks were quarterbacks and the forwards were doing nothing with the ball, until mid way through his career Glenn started ball playing with support runners. Now there's ball playing backrowers everywhere.

    Storm and Penrith all have their 'legal' ways of getting quick line speed for themselves and the opposite of the opposition. Try watching the Eels every play the ball. They NEVER do it properly. Always getting a quick roll ball away and never getting fully to their feet. Didn't help last night...

    NRL rules give Warriors six again instead of penalty to kick for goal, then the NRL bunker gives a crazy head high which didn't warrant a penalty kick at goal. NRL needs a complete overhaul.

    The NRL thinks its running a footy competition. It has no idea that it isn't 1922 anymore and the NRL is actually a competitor in the entertainment industry for fans, eyeballs, sponsors and athletes. The 16 clubs needs to leave the NRL and set up a comp run with the mentality of the MMA management.

    So he's already in effect missed 1 game. Will that reduce the suspension? Or does the NRL treat you same if you're sent off in the 1st minute or the 79th minute?
