Definitely not the case, dogs have said ‘we weren’t interested’ every time they have missed player since Gus arrived. Pretty sure they did the same with Stephano & Terrel May who they definitely wanted. All it means is he is already a done deal somewhere else & it just hasn’t been announced yet

    NRL Games [Round 4, 2025]

At full strength they can beat anyone, need to get Blaize firing at 5/8 to challenge for the GF though I think.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Off contract Davvy Moale should be near the top of our list for 2026 recruits. Only 22 as well

    2026 halves plan

Galvin is proven to be a top class talent. Our guys have potential but it’s completely different to be able to do it in top grade. Galvin will probably end up being a lock in a few years time as well which would still leave a spot for Large & Walsh if good enough

Slowed down the last few years but Jake is a real manly legend already. Hope he can win a comp before retiring, I think he would happily take the pay cut after next season if it means we can sign a top player to get us over the line, Turbo is in the same boat. Still would like him to play prop &...

Definitely not likely, just posting what I seen mate. Really hope Foz doesn’t come back, need to move forward not another injury prone player in his mid 30’s

Mestrov & Penn vs DCE: Who is lying?

Why would we have offered him a contract in December when he told the club his mind was made that he was going to retire or play in the super league? 😅 it’s not Mestrov or Penn’s fault he lied to their faces & was secretly planning on staying in the NRL at a different team.

Any news on how serious the Large injury is? Hasn’t been named for a while now

    2026 halves plan

Daily Mail are saying a ‘insider’ has said Lachlan Galvin is who manly want to replace Cherry-Evans from 2026. Not sure if this was posted in another thread or not but this vid was from about 40 minutes ago

    Zorba..tells it how it is

Definitely not true, it was $900k per season which is a fair price in my opinion for the best 2nd rower in the comp (probably a bias opinion)

I think most clubs would have known we couldn’t afford to offer him anything like he wants. We aren’t much of a bargaining chip when multiple desperate clubs will blow our offer out the water by $500 thousand or more. I get what your saying though

You might be right but I think the media are making a big push to change the narrative from Cherry-Evans just wanting more money. I think it’s simply that. I don’t necessarily blame him wanting to cash in on his last contract but the way he has did it is embarrassing

How to F a season in one go

Would make sense, as if Townsend would be there 1st choice half they wanted to bring for experience

these journo’s are just talking rubbish until something sticks in my opinion. If there was such a big problem with players & coach I’d highly doubt our best young player Lehi signs the extension when he would have been offered big money elsewhere. Same with Haumole, Koula etc. Chez is just money...

    2026 halves plan

If it gives us enough money to sign a top young forward I would be for it as well. If he doesn’t perform then so be it & give 1 of the young guys a chance

Would it make sense that Turbo was trying to take that pay cut last year because he knew DCE wanted more money? 🤔

    apocalypse or opportunity ...

🤣🤣 Townsend??? Give it a break. 3 games of NSW cup Martin has 3 tries, 6 try assists, 3 line break assists & 96.4% tackle efficiency. Arthur has similar stats but Martin is a bigger threat with his legs. Townsend has 0 tries 0 try assists & 1 line break assist for his start to the year…

    Joey Walsh

I noticed the 5/8 was taking all the kicks for touch after penalties last week, not sure if that’s because he kicks further then walsh but most young union players do have good long kicking. He definitely will have a nice short kicking game close to the line though

    2026 halves plan

Id love to see Large get the opportunity too, probably the most excited I’ve been for a junior since Turbo. The only reason I think Walsh would be ahead is age. Not exactly sure of Large’s age but he has only played SG Ball so far this year while Walsh is in Flegg. Walsh turns 19 in May so he’d...

    apocalypse or opportunity ...

Won’t be surprised if we are having a real look at Te Maire Martin to play for 1 season or at least a quality back up for next season if Walsh doesn’t handle it
