    Never thought I'd see another Manly player with the tackling technique, power and timing of Beaver, and maybe i never will, but goddamit Jake sure does give it a good shake. His tackling in the 80th minute is just as outstanding as in the 1st.

    Is it just me of does it feel like it's been 20 years or so since we had a reliable goal-kicker. When was the last decent one? Does Taylor for the Beagles count? Otherwise we could be looking all the way back to Ridge. Even the likes of Orford and Lyon were pretty unreliable a lot of the time...

    I want to blame TB. I really do. I hold him partly responsible for the Myles + Brown signings, even if they were announced before he arrived. Plus letting some key guys go. But how much is he handicapped due to the Matai and Snake injuries? What if he had that money to invest in other players...

    We made all those tackles and had only 40% possession (I thought less) because of the errors we made, line speed deficiencies in defence and attack, poor kicking, etc. So whilst we did well to keep the score close, I don't think we played nearly well enough to win.

    Taupau's appeared a shoulder-charge in that he didn't use his arms to make a tackle. But he doesn't hit him side-on like with a typical shoulder charge. Suspension is clearly ridiculous.
