Walker to 5/8 our X factor for finals

Ah fair enough - well yeah its not accurate. Even nrl.com shows the same as i have quoted above. Truth be told i was also unconvinced about Walker's move to 5/8 initially, but he's starting to prove me wrong. He appears to be clear about what his role is and isnt overplaying his hand - not as...

Walker to 5/8 our X factor for finals

Not sure where these stats are being pulled from, but they are not accurate. I have Walker down for 4 or 5 LBA's and TAs in the last month. There were 2 LBA's just last night - if you recall DCE's linebreak down the sideline late in the game, it was Walker who fed him the ball...

    Fainu and Suli

Look ive been a big Api fan over the years, but there's no doubt Fainu has now overtaken him as no.1 hooker in the club. Sure Api is more physical in defence, thats probably his strength, but if you had to choose one the winner is clear. If you want to talk about intensity or effort, did you see...

    Jesse Ramien

Good player, but dont see it happening. 12 months ago i would have jumped on it - but with the development of Suli and Parker this year, and the likely retention of Walker.. we have other fish to fry

Non Manly Games [Round 19, 2019]

I hope the eels make the finals - and we annihilate them out of the finals just as quick >:)

Walker to 5/8 our X factor for finals

I said in the match day thread people were getting a bit carried away by his performance today and i still stand by that. Dont get me wrong, im a fan - and thats probably why am being so critical. He was good, but not outstanding. Would be great to see him have a breakout game in the next few...

Game Day: Manly v Eels [Round 18, 2019]

Everyone here saying Walker killing it, i dont necessarily agree. Sure hes going ok, but the way we are steamrolling them, im sure Cust/Croker would have done well too. A fit and firing Walker would have nailed a few of those opportunities, he still looks a bit tentative to me. If he can think...

Game Day: Manly v Eels [Round 18, 2019]

Sunny sunday arvo, much at stake, Turbo rested last week - Manly by plenty

    June 30 Deadline

Its not just about signings, its who we may want to let go.. a month ago every man and their dog was happy to let Api walk, but I sense that may no longer be the case. If we offload some players then I guess that opens room in our roster for 2019 and beyond.

    Parker and Suli

I don't mind him as a player, and hes got his smarts about him as you mention. However as others have also said, he does get rag-dolled a lot (much like Elliot), and he doesn't necessarily appear a small build. In terms of his pace, he doesn't appear to have that electric pace off the mark...

    Parker and Suli

If were keeping Rueben just for his goalkicking then were kidding ourselves, DCE was kicking them pretty well before injury. Also for mine Elliot is just depth cover, I wouldn't have him ahead of any others mentioned above.

    Attributing blame

They were also missing Walker (arguably form player of the comp) and Murray - quickest play the ball in the comp.

    Impact off the bench

Yes I agree. Until someone steps up or we buy someone before June 30, it might be in best interests of the team to have either AFB or Marty coming off bench, as ideally we want at least one of them on the field at all times.

Garrick + Suli vs Suli + walker

But we already have one - Turbo

Garrick + Suli vs Suli + walker

I can see some merit in putting Turbo to centre at least for the short term, as theres less agility running and bending over for rolling balls which no doubt wouldn't help with his hamstring history. However, we definitely lose a lot of spark keeping him confined to one corridor of the field. I...

Free to air NRL tv shows

Just had a quick glance and can see replays of the last 3 rounds. They have all the shows also - Fox Sports/ESPN/Bein Sports. Cant see any old ARL games. Its basically the Netflix of sports. You can trial it free of charge for 14 days I think and good thing is you can cancel and rejoin at...

Free to air NRL tv shows

Ive been using Kayo (owned by Foxtel) the last few months @ $25/month you can use same account on two devices simultaneously so works out pretty cheap if sharing with a friend/relative. Its a streaming service so need a decent internet connection/plan, might be a little frustrating for the old...

    Dylan Walker - NSW Centre

Hes a true blue kiwi and has played for them

    Could it be true?

Theres no way I can see Des dropping Parker to reggies in preference of both Walker and Roberts. He is the playing the tough physical brand of footy Des likes in a player - not something Roberts and Walker are known for..
