2025 Rumoured and confirmed signings (NON-DISCUSSION THREAD).

Apparently Sadler is definitely trying out at Manly. This via a local news broadcast and interview with hi on 14th Jan.

    The Manly Way

I don't think it's a wank, maybe our expectations have increased based on last year. What I'd like to see is what Seibs alluded to with the 'Campfire' chats and that way we also get to see more about the players.

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

I think it has to be Simpkin to start with, unless GCKT really stands out in the pre season games. Tavega would be a 'standby'.

Dylan Brown being shopped by Eels.

Yep, just chasing the money and good luck to him if he gets over $1mill a season. I think Gutho's, "your not needed here' scenario would have shaken a few boys up in terms of their loyalty to the club.

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

I was wondering about Froggy and why he has been conspicuous with his absence in training. It clearly opens the door for Simpkin, GCKT or Tavega at hooker for pre season games. The club has been very quiet on Froggy’s injury and maybe he had an operation in the off season.

Sea Eagles Elimination Game 2025 (pre-season forum game)

Hi Ryan So you say 'one per day'? By the beginning of pre season we are likely to have BA on the list. Is that the idea?

Nope, apparently the less me know the better apparently. Maybe they are worried about Smoking Joe doing his analysis of the squad :)

    2026 recruitment & retention

You make me laugh sometimes Ryan with you philosophies, and it's great entertainment. Bullemor is a genius, just like Tom, in Finance, and he will make a choice between his current Finance job and NRL, which is not the Cowboys, but rather I suspect will be Finance, and his current employers...

One has to go ... who ?

I don’t have any issue with Garrick in attack, it’s just defensive reads that irk me. Mind you DCE rushing out of the line doesn’t help him.

One has to go ... who ?

I don’t think it will be a salary cap issue, I think it will potentially be more about lack of game time and a player’s frustration. However, there’s always injuries, so they’ll probably all get at least 3/4 of the season in the starting side and that’s the upside with the great depth we’ll...

    Wayne Cousins ( Media Manager)

With Couso gone as Media Manager, they may well change the role to Social Media Relations Manager, or some other 'wanky' title', and that person will have a 'huge' role to play, with increasing interaction with members and fans, with this site and Social Media for the younger brigade of fans...

MWSE Squad Contract Status & Top 30 List

I think Walsh and Large may start in SG Ball, as both qualify next year, just to build cohesion between them, and then they'll move up to Flegg when it starts. While I enjoy the 'Manly Way', I would really like to see the squads for 'NSW Cup', 'Flegg' and the juniors. Who has left, who has...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Bullemor may have decided to pursue his business career, as he potentially could earn a lot more than he ever will in NRL. I had high hopes for Toff, however, his lateral movement in defence is a big weakness he has to address. Mind you, the whole damn team has to improve in defence.

    2026 recruitment & retention

That could be the way it will be and the winger (5) will likely be Willet

    [Resurrected] Jake to HOOKER

In my opinion Taukeiaho is basically a replacement for Lodge and providing he can stay injury free, he’ll provide better value. Tapolo could be a revelation and Navale is only going to mature. I have no concern regarding our front row, providing they stay injury free and while our options at 9...

    Jacob Arthur

Yep, he looks like he has really ‘bulked up’. His defence has always been good and there is no doubt about his ball skills, speed and kicking game. Ian Martin made a great transition to lock, Cliffy was okay, others like Walker have been also, so hopefully Jacob gets a shot, as clearly with...

    Club News 2025

I suspect most stuff we get as members comes from China, via an Australian company who has the contract, which is normal these days. So, with all the delays on the ports, I think that could be the issue. Caps and scarves etc cost about $5 each or less from China, so it makes economical sense...

    [Resurrected] Jake to HOOKER

We have plenty who can play hooker with Froggy, Simkin, GCKT, Tevaga, the latter two who are internationals for Samoa and now the young guy from the Bulldogs. Should Jake play prop, ideally yes, as he did in Origin and for Australia, however, unfortunately, he is the best #13 we have at the...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Totally agree Mark. Bullemor’s best games are in the middle and his leg speed makes a difference.
