    Post-match Interview | Manly V Melbourne

Glad the iPad was an option, thankyou @Ranga!! You folks can probably guess at how many venues in Singpore blast out NRL on a regular basis! It ain't many, they have a business to run - not helped by tipsy Aussies yelling at an iPad... This isn't Bali :D

    Little Gordie

When Gordie made his break and almost scooted over it was a joy to watch. When he gets in that position more often (and I am predicting he will), he won't surprise himself or panic and ice it. Lawton/Croker still needed to take the early heat of early game intensity. Gordie is a terrier you...

    Jake Trbojevic... take a bow

Madge got this right, and Fittler got it oh so wrong when he left Jake out G1 2023 - choosing Tevita Pangai Jnr at Prop instead?? Has so much heart that guy, he left NRL to fight, and got KTFO in 80secs in his debut. Against a nobody who had lost all his fights pretty much. No wonder they...

    Post-match Interview | Manly V Melbourne

100% this, yes. Great addition :) Also we were the only team who took a home game to BOTH USA and Brisbane for magic round. And Melbourne have had 7 home games this season - more than any other team in the 8. Don't really get what he was moaning about to be honest.

    State of Origin Team Predictions

Seems Wayde Egan is a Lithgow boy according to wiki - I'd have considered him over Robson, even if the Warriors haven't been going as good as many thought. Says he's on injury list as a concussion, which if it was HIA related would see him ready in time for the Blues yes? Haven't seen that...

    Post-match Interview | Manly V Melbourne

Blame @Ranga for feeding me wine. For the real interview, see Storm: Round 12 _________________________________ Media: Tough game Craig? Bellamy: We were poor at the start of the game, our wrestlefk tactic wasn't working, they were controlling posession, but there were good signs when the...

The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

Seibold has the team competitive in every game this year at least. Losses by 1,2,4,6 & 8 pts. No blowouts, and the only game we never looked like winning against St George came off the back of our Tier-1 blokes having a shocker, and luckily St George weren't good enough to torch us worse than...

    2026 recruitment & retention

I like Crichton, despite his recent dramas. Has been playing like a Brownie, or Lodge last year. Get him at a good price and you could do a lot worse.

Why can’t Manly maintain a lead? (Rugby League Eye Test)

Great read and interesting stats to support the hunch I had about us switching off before half-time, inviting teams back into the games. Thanks for posting! Also don't knokw if its just me, but we seem to become far more conservative and predictable as the game goes on, whereas the first...

    Haumole gone, DCE resurrected

All the Parra 'why wasn't he binned too' talk is aging well.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Koula is a great defensive back, which is why I wouldn't move him to the wing. While the Parra game maybe didn't show it, he has been the most solid Centre we have defensively since Parker. Talau for mine is the first recourse if the Garrick-to-centre initiative is finally canned. He is a great...

    Demetriou Sacked!

Souths have reached out to Sam Burgess as a potential successor for the role in 2025 and beyond. Sam has provided a glowing response!

    Paul Kent in trouble again

Wasn't this guy up on domestic violence charges recently? And didn't he get off? Yeah, definitely doesn't have that in him at all does he...

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

Seibolds growing on me, and I have some observations about what I have seen of himv that I would like to share. 1- Mutual self-interest must be acknowledged and come into play here - Seibold is pursuing short-term results because he has to, his job depends on it. No point accusing him of any...

    The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

Haven't posted for a bit - lots on with a move back to AU on the cards - but this topic has drawn me out of the shadows finally for 2024. You get one long post from me for now :) ==================================================== TLDR summary: I am actually seeing positives out of this...

Are Penrith cheating the salary cap?

Penrith are not cheating the Salary Cap. They are playing a smart long-game. They have access to the breadbasket beyond the Blue Mtns (Lithgow > Griffith East-West: Armidale to Wagga Nth-South - HUGE intake). The personal conditioning developed to 'Play for the Panthers' in those regions...

    Another Tiger? Aitasi James

Lets not question every depth signing we make....geez, we'll be here for eternity. As long as he's not a salary cap burden, he has the "dimensions" of a very solid player, with some air-time under his belt (even if with Tig's), and likely some fitness training in the off-season to come to...

"Taking Unders", and the decline of the once-great clubs in the modern game

I think we can all agree that Turbo (a) doesn't choose to be injured and (b) would play every opportunity he gets, when healthy (including for Origin/'Roos). Your post does kinda imply that Turbo has some say in this - and I don't agree that Turbo has any unbroken bone in his body that says 'ah...

    The Haumole Bible.

So we let him go? Vindication station - he's achieved squat.... as a 23y-old going on 24. Slag the work-rate of a guy who played every game this season, with the stats he has output. 'Kay.. He lost us a couple of games actually if you reduce it down to individual "incident absolutionism". But...
