    I think you could keep the point value at 1 the entire time. I agree that 20 is a good starting number. It would take 580 to 599 posts to end the game, which isn't much more than this thread was. Or to make it a bit shorter, start all the players on 15.

    Hoppa will only get better, some have been saying that Burbo is starting to look good, our bench is stronger. All we need is for Simpkin to beat out Croker for the 9 jersey and we have a very good chance. Not long to go now

    Yeah, when they didn't win easily (which I think in large part was caused by the awful ruck refereeing from Atkins), they started playing jungle ball and kept turning it over. I'm not too concerned but it was awful to watch.

    I predict Onitoni Large will be a first grader in 2026. Joey Walsh might not be far behind him either. The way we play will need to change when DCE retires (I don't think we will be able to count on the new guys for golden point field goals for a while), but i don't think we will miss him as...

    Next year: minus votes only for sure. It was maddening seeing post after post of people cancelling out each other's votes. The format was also clunky as hell. Surely it could be done using the poll function of the site somehow?

    Disco's post made the very good point that Jake does a lot off the ball that doesn't make it into stats as easily. I want him in the side, but for $600k and 50 mins a match.

    Matterson is a complete waste of a roster spot. Arthur isn't much better. This time next year I'm pretty confident that both Walsh and Large will be ready to eclipse them.

    Yeah I'd swap Jake for Yeo in a heartbeat. But Jake is still very much a first grader, the issue is how much we are paying him.

    People moaning about our retention will probably be singing a different tune when Onitoni Large makes his debut. I'd rather some extremely talented and good natured private school boys than guys who tried to bring the gang culture from western Sydney with them to the club.

    The problem was that they got embarrassed by a third string Panthers outfit. Guys who are contenders for first grade in our side got outclassed by guys who will probably never play first grade at the Panthers.
