    They did at the start of 2023..it was ok for 3-4 games...but it would look way worse in 2025 as jake and Aloiai are sooooo slow.

    My view is that they are all trying - they just aren't good enough when we are talking about playing the best teams. And all too similar players i.e slow, big and old. Not to say there isn't talent there of course.

    I don't disagree with any of that. What i would say, is I think Aloiai is past it and in games like yesterday just isn't good enough, no matter what the coach does.

    Yes im actually shocked how much he has regressed. I considered him in our top two middles in his first season at Manly. Now he would be lucky to make our top 17.

    I'd rather just rip the band aid off when it comes to these ageing slow guys. Sadly we have re-extended Aloiai, which is a poor signing. Lodge showed last night he isn't up to it when it really matters. A firm NO to bringing him back for me.
